Meet Annie Clark

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Annie Clark. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Annie below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Annie with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
Both music and acting are my passion. It’s something that it’s in me since I was a kid. It’s part of me. And it’s something that I need to do every day. I want to do better, be great at what I am doing. It’s a constant learning curve so I am always up onto something.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am and actor and singer. Both are exciting routes to take. One because you’re onstage singing in front of a crowd and you feel that energy and the other to be creating and playing different characters, discovering how they feel and what they do and why.

My band is called Shotgun Superstars and we recently had a show in Florida. It was a special show playing our favorite songs to a sold out venue and people had so much fun. Up next, we will be playing at RockFest in Wisconsin. That’s a huge festival, 40,000 people. This is the direct link: https://rock-fest.com/lineup/#/event/shotgun-superstars

On the acting side, I’ve been nonstop working on different films within the past year that will soon be released and I have a few more things coming up soon that I’ve been recently cast.
It’s exciting! I am grateful for all these opportunities! You can see me on these films:

Chronicles ~ Tudor Rose , Dir. Chris Sullivan

Echoes , Dir. Colby Underwood

Chessboxer , Dir. Albin Pepe

The In-Between , Dir. Christine Perez

End Of The Line , Dir. Austin Gomez

Tails , Dir: Alex Culberson

A Walking Miracle . Dir: Daniel Baldwin

Beyond The Survival . Dir: Caleb S Barr

Would You Still Love Me? , Dir: Ramsey Telhami

Flipping The Bird , Dir: Alex Petkus

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Being kind, thankful, hardworking, appreciate what its given to you, helping others on all these projects, have interest, love what you do… these are a few. No matter what’s the route you want to take, what you want to do, music or acting or lawyer or doctor …whatever it is, if you feel the Have/Need in you, that fire in your veins…then that’s what you need to do. It’s part of you. That the force that will push you through all ups and down to continue and succeed. Be prepared, don’t stop learning.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I am taking a break as much as I can in between projects. Going outside, walking around, meeting with friends, having a real life outside the non-reality of acting. It’s good that I love music too so I listen to songs and just relax.
