Meet Anthony Church

We recently connected with Anthony Church and have shared our conversation below.

Anthony, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
For me it was all about having a conversation with myself and asking what I really wanted out of life. For a long time I was too busy trying to fit in and please other people without really finding what I enjoyed doing and what gave me fulfillment. Once I decided to go all in with my passion for music everything began to shift and I started to feel so much more confident in myself and my ability to own who I truly am. I’m not afraid to show people what drives me everyday and that’s a great feeling!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m a music producer and a music show podcast host residing in the northeast Ohio area. To me being able to connect with like minded people from around the globe is my favorite part about both aspects of what I do and being able to create new and innovative ideas with them. My brand Proven Knowledge is essentially an umbrella for all things creative such as new music releases, the podcast and even clothing made for other musicians and artists that really celebrates an individuals ability to be their best selves. I recently released my latest instrumental EP “Sound Origin, Vol. 2” and am currently finishing work with my friend and artist JayTrey on the first Proven Knowledge compilation album that will feature a lot of our close collaborators.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
So far throughout these 7 years I’d say learning more about the business side, not being a perfectionist, and learning to take breaks and give myself permission to live life have all been super vital to my progress. To me if you’re early in your journey you might not have a full understanding of these right away and it might take some time to develop them but if you let things play out naturally you’ll start to see a change in how you approach not only your career endeavors but also your everyday activities. It really all starts with a positive mindset shift and once you have that things become a lot more clear.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
A book that really kickstarted my journey all together was Timbaland’s autobiography called “Emperor of Sound”. I read it in 2016 a few months before I began producing and it was super inspiring to learn about his come up and the hardships he faced to get to a high level of success and become the person who we all know today. It showed me what was possible and it was a big reason I finally made the choice to try out music for myself and not be afraid of the outcome.
