Meet Anthony Jameyson Smith

We recently connected with Anthony Jameyson Smith and have shared our conversation below.

Anthony , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I discovered my purpose by understanding the Call thats on my Life. Everyone is called to do something specific that will always connect them to their Purpose. Never do anything just to do something. One must learn to Love what they do, because when you love it, it will never just be a task. If it become a task it’s highly likely it’s not your Purpose. I Love what I do and I am committed to it because it’s my Called Purpose.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I currently serve as Lead Pastor of two Churches in Metro Atlanta. Forest Chapel, Forest Park GA. (10:00am) & Nehemiah Conyers (11:30am) I love people, I love writng and have authored two books. My desire is to leave people better than I found them. We are now in a Post Pandemic world that we need to get back in the full swing of things. Churches took a hard hit when Covid happened and some haven’t regained their full balance back due people who are still fearful of becoming ill. My goal is to encourage everyone I can with my writings & relationship podcast called Love & Relationships Live on Facebook Live every Monday night at 8:30pm Atlanta & My lovely Co-Host Cotrina Driver is live at 7:30pm in Houston, TX. We talk about real life situations to help people overcome their relationship & marital challenges.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I have learned to be a better communicator by listening to understand. Communication is very vital in every aspect of life. Resilience is the epitome of who I am having to overcome difficulties and adversity. I shouldn’t be here as we speak but because I developed a never quit, never give up mindset I was able to live through some very challenging times in my life. I like to tell people that you can’t help the hand you was dealt in life, but your responsibility is to play that hand with the best of your ability. When life throws you a curve ball, always and I truly mean always take a swing. You just might hit the home run that will change the trajectory of your whole life. If I can offer any advice it would be to never stop dreaming, then wake up and get it done with all you have in you.
