Meet Anthony Samuel

We recently connected with Anthony Samuel and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

“Where Do I Get My Work Ethic From?”

When asked where my work ethic comes from, the answer is simple but the story runs deep. I watched my parents commit themselves to their jobs every day for over thirty years. They never complained, never cut corners they just showed up, consistently and faithfully, until they reached retirement. That kind of dedication leaves an imprint.

From an early age, I knew I wanted something more not in the sense of avoiding hard work, but in choosing where that hard work would go. I wanted to pour it into my own dream, not someone else’s. Watching my parents lay the foundation for our family inspired me to build something that could not only support them in return but also uplift my community. That’s been my motivation: to one day hand them the keys to a home they didn’t have to work decades for, to say thank you with actions not just words.

Starting my business and stepping out on faith created a sense of discipline in me that can’t be taught it has to be lived. Entrepreneurship comes with its own unique challenges, but it also fuels a different level of ambition. It pushed me to show up for myself in the same way my parents showed up for us.

And through it all, it’s my faith in God that keeps me going. He gives me strength when the road feels uncertain and peace in the process, even when the outcomes aren’t clear. My work ethic isn’t just about hustle it’s about purpose, gratitude, and honoring the journey.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey were faith, determination, and consistency. These weren’t just traits I developed they became the foundation of everything I’ve accomplished. If you want to succeed and have a meaningful journey, understand that your greatest teacher will be the lessons that come from your struggles. Every successful story includes chapters of failure, doubt, and hardship. Those are the moments that shape your testimony.

Faith was essential because before you can see the outcome, you must believe in it. You have to believe in yourself and the vision God gave you, even when there’s no evidence yet that it will come to pass. Consistency matters because success doesn’t happen overnight. You have to keep showing up, especially on the days when it doesn’t look like anything is working. And determination is what keeps you going when the obstacles feel bigger than the dream. You have to be determined to live the life God created for you no matter what it costs.

My advice to anyone just beginning their journey is simple: stay the course. Don’t give up. Don’t quit. This path will be full of ups and downs it’s a rollercoaster but if you stay on, it’s worth it in the end. Don’t let the opinions of others derail you. Too often, we share our dreams with people who don’t care to see us win, and their doubts can kill our motivation. Remember: God gave you the vision, not them.

Also, move in silence. You don’t have to announce every idea or plan. Just execute. Let your results speak for you.

And finally, pray and meditate before making moves. Trust the process. If you have a goal or vision, pursue it with urgency. Time waits for no one, and the richest place in the world is the graveyard filled with untapped ideas, unused talents, and dreams that never came to life because someone thought they had more time or waited for the “right time.” Don’t let that be your story.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning to focus on myself. That might sound selfish to some, but for years I poured into everyone else helping, supporting, and putting others before me. I had to learn the hard way that you can’t keep pouring from an empty cup. I realized it’s not just okay, but necessary, to prioritize my own well-being.

One of the hardest lessons was understanding that the people you constantly show up for are not always the ones who will show up for you and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I had to accept that everyone’s heart is built differently. This past year taught me to stop expecting me from other people.

My growth came through intentional actions: taking a break from social media, pulling back from one-sided relationships, and letting go of friendships and connections that no longer served me. I stopped calling to check in with people who never checked on me. I stopped trying to maintain things that were no longer mutual.

I spent an entire year showing up for myself while silently battling things no one knew about. That solitude taught me that real growth often requires separation. You have to stop waiting on others to move, or you’ll delay the dreams, vision, and purpose that God has already placed in you.

In this season of isolation, I found gratitude in simplicity peace, quiet, and the kind of joy that doesn’t depend on money, conversations, or company. I deepened my relationship with God and strengthened the inner foundation I had once neglected.

Life became my greatest teacher. And now, I’m coming back stronger than ever. I’ve improved in how I protect my peace, guard my energy, and remain focused. I no longer allow people or circumstances to distract or derail me. I’ve learned how to keep moving forward—eyes on the vision not looking back, not worrying about opinions, and not consumed by what’s outside of my control.

Lastly, I lost a lot of things but I didn’t lose me and for that I am grateful.
