We were lucky to catch up with Anthony Woods recently and have shared our conversation below.
Anthony, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
My work ethic comes from my mom. Being a single mother and watching her grind to raise me and provide a life for is defiantly instilled in me. The other place is the fact i’ve developed this non-optional head space for success.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a content creator and owner of AW Visuals with a strong eye for being creative. I specialize in portrait photograph covering a wide range of sub categories. I also do graphic design and videography. The business was born from taking concert photography and grew as I began traveling. The plan is to relocate to Raleigh Durham in 2024 and open a space for content creators.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The most important qualities/skills I’ve learned on my journey is this. 1) Everyone is a critic even your self post the content any way. You’re inspiring someone. 2) Just like any muscle your creative gift needs exercise to grow so get to work. 3) You’re buisnes isn’t for your friends or family don’t look for their support to always be there.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
Gym and confide in my closest peers. Humans weren’t ment to go through life alone, hence why we have this overwhelming presence of depression when were alone. Find 2-3 people you can trust and speak with about anything and find an outlet other than your buisness to take your mind off things.
