Meet Antoinette BARKLEY

We recently connected with Antoinette BARKLEY and have shared our conversation below.

Antoinette , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I credit my work ethic to my mother. Growing up, I watched her rise every day with determination, no matter how tired she was or what challenges stood in her way. She showed me, through her actions, that hard work isn’t just about providing—it’s about perseverance, commitment, and pride in what you do. Her dedication became the foundation of my own drive, and to this day, I carry the lessons I learned from watching her resilience and strength into everything I do.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I’m Antoinette B — a woman of faith, purpose, and compassion. Family is the heart of who I am, and caring for others is my calling. Over the years, I’ve turned that calling into action by creating businesses that serve, empower, and inspire.

Through Antoinette’s Senior Care, I provide loving support to seniors and their families. With Antoinette’s Soul Food Service & Catering, I share my passion for good food and bringing people together. I also founder of A&T Health Screening, where we focus on wellness and preventive care. And with my Virtual & Wellness Dispensary, I help others step into entrepreneurship while promoting healthier lifestyles.

Life has taught me the power of resilience. Every storm has shaped me into the woman I am today — stronger, wiser, and deeply committed to making a difference. Whether it’s through care, food, health, or business, my mission is the same: to uplift others and create opportunities that leave a lasting impact.

When I’m not working, I enjoy traveling, embracing new experiences, and soaking in the simple joys of life. My journey is still unfolding, but one thing is certain — I’m here to live with purpose and help others do the same.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, I would say the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been resilience, compassion, and vision.

Resilience taught me how to keep going through challenges, setbacks, and even seasons of uncertainty. Every journey will have obstacles, but resilience allows you to see them as lessons instead of roadblocks.

Compassion guided me in connecting with people on a deeper level. Whether it’s in business, caregiving, or building relationships, compassion opens doors that skills alone cannot.

Vision gave me the ability to see beyond where I was and believe in where I could go. Having a clear sense of purpose helps you stay grounded when the path gets tough.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

✨ When I’m feeling overwhelmed, the first thing I do is give it to God and talk with Him 🙏🏽. That always brings me peace.

My advice to anyone going through a heavy moment:
✨ Don’t try to carry it all on your own — hand it over to Him.
✨ Pray, breathe, and trust that He’s working things out in your favor.
