Meet Antoinne Duane Jones

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Antoinne Duane Jones. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Antoinne Duane with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I come from a long line of givers and community servants! It’s in my blood and what I instinctively know what to do……help others!

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
For the last nearly 19 years, I’ve been known as a photographer. Within the Atlanta and surrounding area the last 8+years, I’ve grown that base to celebrity photography and mostly brand photography. I do however have a pretty successful sports division and my foundation is in fashion photography so I do that as well through the ownership of Majority Greek Magazine. Majority Greek is a fashion and lifestyle magazine that focuses on community servants and amazing people that just happen to be members of minority fraternities and sororities! As a fraternity member myself, the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc,, I’m able to honor my family legacy of service in an impactful way. My #1 focus is men, more specifically fathers. So within that focus, I recently decided to launch my new tv show named Greedy Buzzards that focuses on all things black & brown men plus some food elements.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say being well rounded! I went to a predominantly white school from k-12, then an HBCU (historically black college/university) for college. I’m able to function around all types of people. Next, having a degree in marketing. I feel with this that I can navigate in the business world using techniques that may not necessarily be common knowledge. And finally just naturally being a visionary. I love to create and that makes me always open to try new things and be a leader or trendsetter.

The advice I would give is to just never settle for being anything less than what you are. You are given the vision so come hell or high water, you push towards the mark.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always looking for folks to collaborate with. In particular, MEN. Those that are fathers, business owners, open to talk about mental health, those willing to support events aimed at the benefit of men are the folks I need in my corner.

Then of course anyone that needs quality photographs, from people to products——anywhere, as we do travel!
