Meet Antwain Shaw-Huff

We were lucky to catch up with Antwain Shaw-Huff recently and have shared our conversation below.

Antwain, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

I try staying optimistic in a world of inspiration being at its highest right nowadays, everyone wanting to be on the same path creatively. I tend finding my self doing new things and not letting a project be less important or too important to me.
If I see another Artist or muralist doing what I do or being somewhat inspired, then I switch my flow of creativity in my area.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I go by the name Paris Abstract , a Cincinnati based and tri-state wide muralist up north. I started my journey thinking of an uncommon route and creative, self employed route.”HAHAHA”
Than continued to the University of Cincinnati where I studies graphic design and fine arts which has helped expeditiously through my career. In life now I am creating murals every and anywhere , not really keeping count but just moving forward.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

A book called “forged by fire “ is a book I read with my class in the 6 grade . I wasn’t that fluent at reading but I was a great lister. The book was about a boy who mom got a new boyfriend that cause hell in the house hold and where trauma was arising. I had that kind of child hood and the book made be realize I wasn’t alone in this traumatic world. Forged by fire also told me to be strong because what our the children in the book weren’t strong.
