Meet Apollo Ludeman

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Apollo Ludeman a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Apollo , so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?

The source of my optimism stems from my health issues I have my first heart attack at the age of 35 at the age of 44 I had a pacemaker defibrillator installed and that’s really when my photography journey began I realized pretty quickly that I was not going to be here forever and I needed to start doing things that brought me joy instead of just grinding every day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My name is Apollo and I primarily focus on event Photography it’s something about taking candid photos of people and capturing moments that really drives me it doesn’t matter if it’s the local concert or a car show or anything with people living in the moment seems to capture the interest of my camera.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

When it comes to photography practice makes perfect there’s lots of technical skills that you can learn that you’ll use over the years but the most important one will always be experience and if you’re looking to get into the profession I suggest that you just get out and go it is really the best way to learn this profession it’s the best way to learn your camera as well as all the other aspects that come with being a photographer

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

I don’t think I would be doing any of this without my wife’s encouragement she literally was the one that suggested that I tried out for photography when I was looking for a change of life I have been working the same job for almost 10 years and was becoming very burnout and needed to change for a long time before we ever discussed buying a camera and learning the trade I am truly grateful for all the times that she has encouraged me to keep going and has really been supportive of this journey
