We were lucky to catch up with Araiz Cervantes recently and have shared our conversation below.
Araiz, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I believe in order to find true purpose you have to spend time in quiet reflection with yourself, thinking about your values, passions, and long-term goals. Ask yourself what matters most to you and what kind of impact you want to make on the world. Research different career paths, organizations, and volunteer opportunities.
Don’t be afraid to try new things.
But most of all you have to take actionable steps to make it a reality. Develop a plan and set goals that will help you reach your desired outcome.

My name is Araiz Cervantes, and I own NAKED SAN DIEGO, a lash/beauty studio. At NAKED SAN DIEGO our mission is to empower the best version of you, we offer services such as lash extensions, lash lifts, lymphatic drainage massages & more.
I opened this studio back in 2019 and through hard work I’ve made a brand for myself that represents my values and my love for a sense of community.
The most exciting thing about owning my own beauty business is having the freedom to create and I love the social outlet that comes with the ability to work with customers and build relationships with them.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Network: Get connected !
2. Education: Make sure you are well-informed about the specific products and services you offer. Take courses and read up on industry trends and developments.
