Meet Ariana Battle

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ariana Battle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ariana, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?

My optimism comes from this quiet belief that connection and creativity are what make life worth living. Books and art have always been my safe place—they’re these beautiful reminders of how resilient, imaginative, and kind we can be. And I’ve always had a soft spot for those little unspoken, fleeting moments of good between people—like when someone waves a thank-you at a crosswalk or shares a laugh with a stranger in line. Those tiny exchanges feel like proof that we’re all trying, in our own ways, to take care of each other.

And, okay, maybe I’m just really good at believing things will work out—like I’m one of those people who’s dead set on carrying all the grocery bags in one trip (numb fingertips be damned). Optimism comes in many forms; mine tends to come from witnessing the mini moments.

Founding Open Haven was my way of taking all of that—the connection, the creativity, and the belief in the good—and creating spaces where others can experience it too.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Ah where to start?! I’m Ariana, the founder of Open Haven, a wellness brand focused on creating bespoke restorative experiences that promote mental clarity, reduce anxiety, and deepen the mind-body connection. After spending over a decade in the fast-paced Consulting and Tech industries, I found myself craving a deeper connection within to serve others. It was through practices like sound healing, pilates, and council circles that I experienced a profound shift, reclaiming my sense of stillness, balance, and strength. These transformative practices became a guiding force in my life, leading me to build Open Haven—a space where others can experience the same healing and clarity.

What excites me most about Open Haven is the ability to bring people together in ways that nurture both personal growth and community. Whether it’s through a sound bath, personal training session, group circle, or quiet moment of reflection, the magic lies in the connection we cultivate—not only to ourselves, but also to each other. I believe in the power of those little unspoken moments of goodness between people, and how much we can heal when we come together with intention.

I’m also incredibly excited to be offering a variety of wellness experiences—like our signature morning sound bath events ‘Awaken with Sound’ at MUD\WTR :gather, where we help participants start their day grounded and present. I’m always looking to expand these offerings, exploring new ways to integrate sound, creativity, and wellness into daily life. Whether it’s for individuals, groups, or even our furry friends (OH offers sound baths for dogs, or as I like to call them, ‘hound baths’), it’s all about creating a space where healing happens naturally, in its own time.

At its core, Open Haven is about balance—creating a sanctuary for anyone who needs to reconnect, unwind, and experience the power of stillness. I’m deeply grateful for the community that’s blossoming around Open Haven and the positive changes these experiences are having in people’s lives.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, the three qualities that have had the biggest impact on my journey are patience, adaptability, and the ability to really listen.

Patience has been key, especially in building something from the ground up. There were moments when I wanted immediate results, but I’ve learned that meaningful growth, whether personal or professional, takes time. My advice for anyone early in their journey is to trust the process, even when it feels like things are moving slowly. Every little step counts.

Adaptability has also played a big role. As someone who transitioned from consulting and tech to wellness, I had to adjust my mindset and skill set. Things don’t always go as planned, and being open to change—whether in how you approach a project or how you work with others—is vital. My advice here is to stay curious, be flexible, and approach challenges as opportunities to learn and evolve.

Finally, listening—whether it’s tuning in to what others need or what my gut is telling me—has been invaluable. In wellness, especially, it’s about being present and open to what’s happening in the moment. For anyone starting out, I’d say make listening a priority: to others, to yourself, and to what the world is showing you—and don’t ignore your own instincts along the way.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

Absolutely! I’m always looking for opportunities to collaborate with others who are passionate about well-being and connection. Whether you’re a company interested in bringing sound healing into the workplace, a wellness space seeking unique experiences, a hotel or resort looking to offer deeper rest and rejuvenation for travelers, or someone planning a special event—like a birthday, baby shower, or any occasion that would benefit from a calming, restorative experience—count me in. The goal is always to create spaces that promote healing, connection, and a deeper sense of presence.

If any of this resonates with you, or if you have a unique project in mind, let’s connect! Feel free to reach out via email or social media, and let’s explore how we can work together to create something special.
