Meet Armelle Edoh

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Armelle Edoh a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Armelle, so many exciting things to discuss, we can’t wait. Thanks for joining us and we appreciate you sharing your wisdom with our readers. So, maybe we can start by discussing optimism and where your optimism comes from?
As a food blogger, I have a deep love for food, cooking, and culinary exploration. This passion for food and cooking fuels my optimism, as I am constantly discovering new recipes, ingredients, and techniques to share with my friends and family. Plus, the joy of creating content and the satisfaction of bringing an idea to life is a very optimistic experience.
Knowing that my work inspires others to cook, try new foods, or even start their own food blogs is a profound source of optimism. Most importantly, helping people solve problems, such as cooking on a budget or finding dietary-restricted recipes, adds purpose to my work.
While these sources of optimism can be powerful motivators, it’s also important to acknowledge the challenges that come with food blogging, such as the need for constant content creation, dealing with negative feedback, and navigating the competitive landscape of social media. Despite these challenges, I find that my passion for food and feeding my family healthier meals keep me optimistic and motivated in my blogging journey.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m a Certified Professional Project Manager, Digital creator, a wife, and mother of three living in the Minneapolis, Minnesota. I was born in Togo with strong family ties in Ghana and Benin. I passionately love creating amazing recipes, styling my food, taking food photography. My diverse background gives a flavorful fusion to my culinary talent. Having developed food sensitivities over the years, I carefully select ingredients I cook with.
Savourous is a space where I share my savory cooking recipes mostly from minimally processed, natural ingredients using most of the time Savourous gluten-free, salt-free, chemical-free, kosher, USDA approved organic seasonings.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey are: Nutritional Knowledge, Culinary Skills and Creativity and Digital Marketing and Social Media Savvy. I cand say that the culinary skills and creativity is natural for me. The nutritional knowledge was what i dip myself into when i was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and needed to find a natural path of healing. The Social media and Digital marketing is something I needed to learn when I decided to share my healthy cooking journey with others.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My husband, my best friend is a partner who actively supports, encourages, and believes in me, especially in the context of pursuing personal goals, dreams, or overcoming challenges. This kind of support has a profound impact on my confidence, motivation, and overall emotional well-being. He provides a listening ear, understanding, and empathy for my experiences, challenges, and feelings. He’s there to celebrate my successes with you and offer comfort or encouragement during difficult times.
He believes in my abilities and potential, even when I doubt myself.
Although I sometimes hate how brutally honest, he can be, I always appreciate his constructive feedback as it helps me see things from a different perspective, offering insights that help me improve and grow.
