We recently connected with Arnold Ludd and have shared our conversation below.
Arnold, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I found my purpose through a deep commitment to empowering others, particularly young people, by creating truly youth-driven initiatives. I believe that young individuals have incredible potential, and my purpose is to ensure they have the tools, opportunities, and freedom to lead in meaningful ways. Too often, programs for youth are designed with adults maintaining control, which limits authentic engagement and growth.
My journey to purpose involved recognizing these gaps and challenging traditional systems. I’ve seen firsthand the power of trusting young people to take ownership of their ideas and actions. By stepping back and letting them lead, I’ve been able to witness transformative growth, not just in them but also in the communities they touch.
My purpose is rooted in the belief that real change comes when we empower the next generation to drive it themselves.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m passionate about empowering young people to take charge of their own futures through youth-driven programs and initiatives. My focus has always been on creating spaces where young individuals are not just participants but leaders. I work to challenge traditional systems where adults dominate the decision-making process, allowing young people to lead in ways that are meaningful and impactful.
What excites me most about this work is seeing the transformation that happens when young people are given the freedom and support to lead. It’s amazing to witness their growth, confidence, and innovation as they tackle challenges and make decisions that affect their communities. The special part about this approach is that it not only impacts the youth but also reshapes the culture around how we view leadership and responsibility.
I’ve been expanding my work in various ways—whether through collaborations with other youth-driven organizations, speaking at events about the importance of empowering young leaders, or launching new initiatives that allow young people to shape their own destinies. My brand is about trust, growth, and the power of youth-led change. I hope to inspire more people to believe in the leadership potential of young individuals and to create more opportunities for them to shine.
In the coming months, I’m planning some exciting events and workshops that will help young leaders grow their skills and expand their networks. I’m looking forward to seeing more youth rise to the occasion and take on new challenges with confidence.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, there are three key qualities and skills that have been most impactful in my journey:
1. Empathy and Trust in Others
Empathy has allowed me to truly understand the needs of the youth I work with and trust them to lead. Building trust with young people is crucial—it creates an environment where they feel safe to take risks, fail, and ultimately grow. To develop this skill, it’s important to practice active listening and always seek to understand before judging or instructing.
2. Adaptability and Problem-Solving
The ability to adapt to challenges and pivot when needed is essential. Whether it’s figuring out how to engage a group of young people or adjusting to unexpected circumstances in a project, adaptability has been vital. For those starting out, I’d recommend embracing the idea that failure is a learning opportunity and to constantly be open to adjusting your approach when things don’t go as planned.
3. Leadership and Vision
Being able to inspire and guide others is at the core of what I do. It’s not just about managing people, but about leading them with a clear vision for what we’re trying to achieve and helping them see the bigger picture. To develop leadership skills, I’d encourage aspiring leaders to practice taking initiative, setting goals, and collaborating with others. Surround yourself with people who challenge you and help you grow.
For anyone early in their journey, my advice is simple: be patient with yourself and stay open to learning. Seek mentors, stay curious, and above all, believe in your ability to make a difference.
