Meet Art Paul Schlosser

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Art Paul Schlosser. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Art Paul below.

Art Paul, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
Jesus and believing in myself. If you don’t believe in yourself maybe no one other God will

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I write songs and produce CDs as well as I recycled canvases and paint over them and then I produce a book every now and then and also produce T-shirts. I like making things for others to help them smile

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The 3 qualities that help everyone be a good entertainer are friendliness, original material and belief in your product.

1. Friendliness: when people meet a street performer sometimes they will just talk to him first to get to know him and if your not willing to be their friend why should they watch your performance.

2. Original Material: It is more likely you will have return business if you have something new and different to offer to your customers. Especially if what you do is not something that is on the TV and the radio by other performers.

3. Belief in your Product. This is very important. There will always be critics and people that tell you what you are doing is no good. It’s nice when others really enjoy what you are doing but when you find yourself entertaining new customers you must really believe in what you are doing and be confident and finish the performance or they may not believe you know what your doing. If after you are done they didn’t like it it may not be your fault. Not everyone likes the same music, art , poetry, comedy so you must understand that it wasn’t your performance but rather they have different taste.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
Jesus has help me quit drugs and believe in myself and do something with my life that I really believe in instead of wasting my life doing things I am bad at.
