We recently connected with Aryan Sachdeva and have shared our conversation below.
Aryan , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Whenever the question of withstanding adversity came up, I always said to myself, “Aryan Sachdeva, just think how good this is going to look in the biography.” For me, resilience is not merely about bouncing back from difficult life events; it’s more about developing a mindset so beautiful that whether the event goes the right or wrong way doesn’t even hold importance anymore. The true purpose of life is to truly live, not just to survive. I won’t spend my days merely trying to extend them. Instead, I will make the most of my time. I believe that the future is an ocean of opportunities, if we need to leave some things behind and be like the kite dancing in the hurricane. In conclusion, my resilience comes from my thoughts, which allow me to face adversity with a sense of curiosity and optimism, knowing that each experience adds depth to my life’s story.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Greetings, I am Aryan Sachdeva, and I consider myself a dreamer and a storyteller at once. One who rapidly thinks and tries to find why? Because an osmosis always keeps happening within, drifting me between what is and what’s not!
I am fueled by an insatiable curiosity, a desire to explore the depths of human experience and the vast tapestry of life. My journey has been one of constant exploration, delving into the hidden corners of my city and uncovering stories that often go unnoticed. Through my writing, I strive to capture the essence of these moments, painting vivid pictures with words and evoking emotions that resonate deeply.
My work is a reflection of my belief that every place has a story, every person a narrative waiting to be told. It’s about finding beauty in the mundane, meaning in the ordinary, and magic in the everyday. As I navigate through the complexities of life, I aim to inspire others to see the world with fresh eyes, to embrace their own stories, and to seek out the extraordinary in the seemingly insignificant.
Life, to me, is an ever-unfolding story, a series of interconnected tales that shape who we are and who we become. It is this belief that drives me to write, to share, and to connect. In the end, we are all storytellers, weaving the fabric of our existence with each word, each moment, and each breath. And it is through this collective narrative that we find our true selves, our purpose, and our place in the world.
My work, including my book ‘Chai & Chaos’, has been featured in prominent publications such as Hindustan Times, Times of India, and Outlook Traveller. I have had the honor of being interviewed by Korn Ferry India in their Different Stroke program, where I shared my perspectives with over 120 attendees across the country.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Looking back on my journey, three qualities or skills that have been most impactful are:
1) Read Widely
Reading widely not only broadens your literary horizons but also provides inspiration and insights into effective storytelling. Explore various genres, authors, and storytelling formats—from novels and short stories to poetry and non-fiction. Analyze how different writers build characters, develop plots, and evoke emotions.
2) Seek Constructive Feedback
Sharing your stories with others and receiving feedback is crucial for growth as a storyteller. Be open to feedback from peers, mentors, or anyone who can offer constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement.
3) Stay Curious and Observe
Observe the world around you, engage in meaningful conversations, explore different cultures, or delve into historical events. Stay curious and cultivate a sense of wonder about human experiences, emotions, and the complexities of life. Draw inspiration from personal anecdotes, current events, literature, art, music, and nature.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m seeking to collaborate with interviewers, podcasters, and storytellers who are passionate about exploring the art and impact of storytelling. Whether you’re experienced in conducting interviews, hosting podcasts, or crafting narratives that resonate with audiences, I’m eager to connect with individuals who share a deep appreciation towards the powers of inspiration, education, and entertainment.
I would love the opportunity to share my journey, insights, and stories with your audience. I believe that together, we can create compelling content that not only resonates with your viewers but also helps your channel grow and thrive.
