We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Ashlee Trcka. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Ashlee below.
Hi Ashlee, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
From a very early age I’ve learned to work hard and be resilient. I started figure skating at the young age of 4 years old. By the time I was 8 I was training on the ice for several hours a day, before and after school, and attending training camps thousands of miles for many months at a time away from home. My work ethic was attained at this extreme young age and I learned to work hard to achieve my goals. The downside of working so hard so young means I didn’t get to have a lot of fun and had to survive situations. My perseverance to overcome has left me stronger than ever and as an adult, painting has been enormously fun!
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
“When I paint, my world feels in balance: it is the blending of spirit and body to, in turn, blend imagination and reality.”
Oil painting for me has been a gift! My passion for painting began as a young adult and has blossomed into something beautiful. I’ve sold several paintings and prints across the world and attended many shows in different countries allowing me to meet and connect with some wonderful people. My paintings have been published in magazines, books and articles across the globe.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Strong work ethic
Ability and to overcome rejection or loss
Never stop learning
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My collectors are people I genuinely connect we. We share something in common. Whether it be a past life experiences, similar characteristics or human traits or the ability to see things the same way. Artwork is more than a picture. It is a feeling.
