Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have ASHLEIGH with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

I get my work ethic from a mix of personal values and family influence. Growing up, I saw the dedication my parents put into their careers and responsibilities, which taught me the importance of commitment and consistency. Personally, I’ve always been driven by a desire to deliver quality work and exceed expectations, especially when it comes to something I’m passionate about, like graphic design. Seeing the results of hard work and how it positively impacts others motivates me to keep going.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

At Space Kranium, I specialize in creating captivating graphic designs that bring visions to life. My services include designing logos, digital flyers, cartoon graphics, YouTube banners, and more. What excites me the most about what I do is the ability to transform ideas into visuals that resonate with people. Whether it’s helping a business define its brand or crafting art that tells a story, I love knowing my work makes an impact.

What makes Space Kranium special is the dedication to quality and creativity. Each project is treated as unique, and I ensure my designs not only look good but also align with my clients’ goals and identities.

As for what’s new, I’m expanding into creating custom wrapped canvases that include paint-by-number kits—perfect for anyone who loves art or wants a relaxing creative experience. I’m also exploring new techniques, like in-house heat transfers for canvases, which will allow me to offer even more customized products soon.

Space Kranium is more than just a graphic design service; it’s a creative hub for bold, original, and meaningful designs. I’m excited to keep growing and helping others bring their ideas to life.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, three qualities that were most impactful in my journey are creativity, adaptability, and communication.
1. Creativity: This is at the heart of graphic design. It’s about thinking outside the box and finding unique ways to bring ideas to life. To develop this, I recommend staying curious and exposing yourself to different art forms, design styles, and industries. Practice regularly, experiment with new techniques, and seek inspiration from everyday life.
2. Adaptability: The design world evolves quickly, and staying relevant means being open to learning new tools and techniques. Early in my journey, I had to embrace change and adapt to different client needs and trends. For those starting out, I’d suggest staying updated on industry tools like Adobe Creative Suite and exploring emerging design trends. Be open to feedback—it’s a powerful tool for growth.
3. Communication: Understanding and translating a client’s vision is crucial. Strong communication skills help you ask the right questions, clarify expectations, and ensure satisfaction. To improve, practice active listening and work on explaining your ideas clearly. Building strong client relationships will set you apart.

For those early in their journey, focus on learning the fundamentals of design while building a portfolio that showcases your style and versatility. Seek feedback from peers and mentors, and don’t be afraid to take on projects outside your comfort zone—that’s where the most growth happens. Most importantly, stay passionate and persistent; the journey may not always be smooth, but it’s incredibly rewarding.
