Meet Ashley Brown

We recently connected with Ashley Brown and have shared our conversation below.

Ashley, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

Finding my purpose wasn’t a single lightbulb moment — it was more like a series of sparks that led me here. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of beauty and functionality, and I’ve learned that the spaces we live and work in deeply affect how we feel, how we show up, and how we connect with others.

After years of helping others bring their visions to life and navigating complex personal and professional dynamics, I realized that my true purpose was to create environments that not only look incredible — but that support well-being, harmony, and confidence in everyday living. That realization led to the founding of Framed View Designs.

Starting my own company was both an act of vision and of service. I saw a gap in the window treatment industry — not just in design innovation, but in customer care, education, and accessibility. I wanted to build something that reflected integrity at every level — from the quality of the products to the experience of the people we serve.

A huge part of the success and heart of Framed View Designs comes from the people I’ve surrounded myself with. My incredible work partner, my supportive family, and loyal friends have all played a vital role in helping me build something meaningful. Their encouragement and belief in this mission gave me the strength and clarity to keep going, especially through the tough times.

Today, Framed View Designs is more than a window treatment company — it’s a community built on American-made products, outstanding customer service, and creative, lasting relationships with our clients, colleagues, and manufacturers. We’ve grown into a trusted name across Texas and Florida, with tons of 5-star reviews and a reputation for doing things differently — and doing them right.

My purpose is rooted in helping people love where they live. And that purpose continues to grow with every space we transform, every connection we build, and every story we help bring to life through design.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m the co-founder of Framed View Designs, a full-service window treatment company specializing in motorized shades, drapery, and exterior solutions for both residential and commercial spaces. What began as a vision to offer high-quality, design-forward window treatments with honest, down-to-earth service has grown into a thriving business serving clients across Texas and beyond.

What sets Framed View Designs apart is our unwavering commitment to excellence — not just in the products we offer, but in the people we serve. We proudly partner with American-made manufacturers, and our reputation is built on high standards, customized solutions, and the kind of client experience that feels personal rather than transactional.

From Somfy motorized systems, solar and roller shades, zebra and cellular shades, to elegant Roman drapery and our heavy-duty Magnatrack exterior shades, every solution we provide is designed to enhance how our clients live, work, and feel in their spaces.

But at the heart of it all, it’s about connection. We’ve built lasting relationships with our clients, colleagues, and manufacturing partners by leading with integrity and treating every project like it’s our own home. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing someone light up when their space finally reflects their vision — and knowing we helped bring it to life.

Right now, we’re especially excited about expanding into new cities across the U.S., reaching more homeowners and businesses who are looking for a trusted partner in custom window treatments. We’re also developing new smart home integrations for motorized window coverings and expanding into eco-conscious product lines that blend sustainability with timeless style.

As a brand, we’re staying grounded in what matters most: doing great work, building meaningful relationships, and making a lasting impact in our clients’ lives. Whether it’s a single-room refresh or a full-home transformation, Framed View Designs is here to frame your view beautifully — with heart, expertise, and a team you can trust.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities have been especially impactful in my journey: resilience, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to continuous learning.

1. Resilience
Owning and growing a business takes grit. There will be setbacks, slow seasons, unexpected challenges, and moments where you question everything. Resilience isn’t about pretending things are always great — it’s about choosing to keep going anyway. It’s about learning how to bounce back, adapt quickly, and not let fear or failure define you. For anyone just starting out, my advice is to expect the hard days, but never let them stop you. They’re shaping you for the kind of success that lasts.

2. Emotional Intelligence
Business is personal — especially in a service industry like ours. Being able to really listen, manage your emotions under pressure, communicate clearly, and build trust with clients, partners, and your team is invaluable. Emotional intelligence is what turns a good experience into a great one. To develop this, focus on self-awareness, practice active listening, and lead with empathy — always.

3. Continuous Learning & Industry Knowledge
You don’t have to know everything on day one, but staying curious and committed to growth is key. In the world of custom window treatments, staying up to date on design trends, smart-home technology, installation methods, and product lines has helped us stay ahead of the curve and build real trust with clients. For those early in their journey: invest in your education, ask questions, seek mentors, and never assume you’ve learned it all — because the best leaders are always students.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

Without question, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of the people around me. My journey with Framed View Designs has been shaped by incredible mentors, a dedicated business partner, and a circle of friends and family who never let me forget what I’m capable of — even when things felt overwhelming.

Having a partner who shares the same values, work ethic, and vision has been one of the most grounding and energizing parts of building this business. We complement each other’s strengths, challenge each other to grow, and show up in the ways that matter most — especially when the stakes are high.

My close friends and family have also been my steady foundation. Their belief in me gave me the courage to take risks, get back up after setbacks, and keep aiming higher. And I’ve been fortunate to have incredible clients and colleagues along the way who turned into collaborators and champions — reminding me that business is really about relationships.

If I could offer one piece of advice to anyone just starting out, it’s this: don’t try to do it alone. Find people who believe in your vision and your values — and let them in. The journey is so much more powerful when you walk it with the right people by your side.
