Hi Ashley, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
Prioritizing my well-being and journalling is what I do for self-care. Regularly journaling my thoughts and emotions offers a space for reflection and self-expression. This practice helps me manage stress and gain insights into my feelings. Since I began journalling, I’ve witnessed improved focus, enhanced problem-solving abilities, and a more positive attitude. The time invested in self-care pays dividends in my overall effectiveness and the quality of my interactions and work output.

I am the Founder of RAL Entertainment. RAL Entertainment is a Hallyu-inspired entertainment agency with a mission to cultivate a community for fans of Korean Entertainment. Our aim is to create an enjoyable and safe environment of inclusivity and warmth, ensuring that all individuals are embraced with open arms.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities that were most impactful include Resilience, Empathy, and continuous learning. The ability to bounce back from setbacks and adapt to new challenges was crucial. Life is full of unexpected twists, and being resilient helped me stay focused on my goals despite obstacles. To develop this, I suggest embracing failures as learning opportunities, staying open to change, and practicing a growth mindset.
Empathy allows you to build meaningful relationships, communicate effectively, as well as resolve conflict. These are all crucial in working as a team, as well as becoming a successful leader.
For someone wishing to develop empathy, I suggest actively listening to others, putting yourself in their shoes, and practicing compassion.
For continuous learning, the willingness to learn and evolve was a game-changer. Embracing lifelong learning, whether through formal education, reading, or seeking new experiences, allowed me to stay relevant and innovative. For those starting out, I recommend staying curious, exploring diverse topics, and being open to new perspectives.

As someone deeply passionate about KPop and its vibrant culture, I’m actively seeking collaborations with Asian-owned businesses and fellow KPop-inspired ventures. I love to reach out to small businesses to vend for my events and share and refer their services to others.
