We recently connected with Ashley Thomas and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I would have to credit my work ethic to my mother. She has always been a dedicated person not only to just her job but her role as a parent. Thinking back to when I was about 6 or 7 years old, it was a time my little sister and I had to get up early one morning before the sun was up. My mother got us dressed and fixed our hair for the day. Afterwards, we ate breakfast then all walked to the bus stop. We waited for the city bus to come and take us to what I later found out to be her job interview. Even though professionally it wasn’t correct to bring along her children, my mother took a leap of faith and didn’t allow her temporary situation to deter her from her goal. She ended up getting the job, and also was a stellar employee. That was just one example of the resilience and determination my mother displayed. I can go on and on about her work ethic but we would probably end up writing a whole book!
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Relentless Being is an accessory brand that offers handmade pieces that are unique and one of a kind. Each design is as rare as the individual wearing them. No two people have the same fingerprints, and we stive to incorporate that same philosophy into all of our designs. We are super excited about our new collections, Me vs Me and Full Bloom. Me vs me was inspired by mirror work. It’s about facing the reflection in the mirror and doing the necessary work that allows you to transform from dark to light or into your higher self. The Full Blooms is inspired by taking the good and the bad with all seasons that we go through in life and yet still we find away to bloom into these beautiful unique Flowers.
We just recently showcased both of the collections at the Orange County Bash Fashion Comedy and talent show, in Orlando Florida on the Orlando Family Stage. Relentless Being recently was also apart of the Jax Model Link up beach photoshoot with Ahshay Studios and Silent Images at the Jacksonville Fl beach Pier. It involved over 50 models, photographers and different designer brands. Both collections are available on our website for purchase now.
We are super excited about all the new projects that are taking place and the new connections being made with different brands. But we are even more excited to announce that we will be on the look out for brand ambassadors! Stay tuned to our social medias for the announcement on how to participate if you are a model or aspiring model.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Knowledge of self was a huge area for me, doing the necessary work to get myself to vibrate naturally on a higher level regardless of what the word looks like around me changed my life. Networking is always thrown out there but it’s so valuable. You have to work with people and brands outside of your normal in order to expand your level of knowledge and understanding. The third one is consistency, you can have a great product to offer and if another brand with not great but good products that outworks you, your greatness goes unnoticed. If I had to tell my younger self anything of advise it would be these three area of knowledge.
