Meet Asia Jones

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Asia Jones. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Asia below.

Asia , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
This is a great question because I struggled with this for so long as many of us have. But it took a lot of unlearning old belief systems and breaking the negative thought patterns I learned from my youth and upbringing. So it started with me learning myself and why I’d respond/react the way I did in different types of scenarios. Once I understood that, with the help of therapy, I was able to incorporate more loving belief systems. It was deep work and there are things I’m still healing from. But it’s so worth it because now that I believe in myself more, I can do the things I said I would and keep my promises to myself. Because I now have provided myself with evidence of my worth and what I’m truly capable of. My confidence is so different now because of it.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I help businesses unlock the full potential of the Pinterest platform. I provide strategic and creative Pinterest management services that drive growth, engagement, and brand visibility.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
A few skills I’ve learned that were most impactful would be, first and foremost, remaining growth focused. A fixed mindset never helped me change or become better. I had to embrace personal growth and self development. Another would be managing my anxiety. When I learned that anxiety was something I was unconsciously practicing, I realized I can intentionally practice peaceful living. Gaining a deep understanding of the things I can’t control and taking full responsibility of what I can control, changed the game for me. Lastly, welcoming grace into my life gave me permission to love myself more and others better. This was the most powerful because I had a hard time with people and used to value isolation. Grace taught me compassion and the more compassionate I became, the better I understood people and the less frustrated I became of them. You view and treat others the same way you view and treat yourself.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Ideally I would love to work with women entrepreneurs who are looking to gain more brand visibility or needing someone to oversee their Pinterest marketing. I want to help women who are passionate, collaborative, and professional. Women who value perspective, respect, and honesty. Anyone looking to connect with me can do so via my email book@virtualinthevalley.com.
