We recently connected with Athena Stratis and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Athena with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

My grandfather George Stratis. He was born in Greece, then early on in life moved to USA and opened his own pizza place. It has been a staple to our community still till this day. As someone who always worked hard and made sure everyone was taken care of. He lived a life of selfless service, quiet strength, and unwavering faith. He showed me that true impact doesn’t come from recognition, but from showing up every single day for others with love, humility, and purpose. Everything I do—from how I work to the message I share—is rooted in the values he lived by. His legacy is the foundation of my platform and the fire behind my drive.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

My name is Athena Stratis, and I’m honored to serve as Miss Queen of the World 2025. I live in the Ocean state of Rhode Island, deeply rooted into my family and god and a big foodie! I’m also the founder of Athena’s Angels, a platform inspired by my Papou—a man of deep strength, faith, and compassion. He taught me that true impact comes from living with purpose and showing up for others with love and humility. His legacy is the heart of everything I do.

Athena’s Angels is about both inner and outer transformation. I help individuals—especially young women and girls—rediscover their worth, build confidence, and live with kindness and intention. From leading workshops to writing my upcoming children’s book Athena’s Angels: The Power of Kindness, my goal is to create a ripple effect of love, light, and kindness in the world. What excites me most is seeing the shift in someone when they begin to truly believe in themselves. That moment of transformation is everything.

This year, I’m turning vision into action by releasing my children’s book as a teaching tool to spark empathy at home and in classrooms. I plan to host live calls and virtual events featuring doctors and health specialists to bring expert insights directly to my community. Connecting globally. Locally, I’m excited to partner with organizations to lead workshops, and create safe spaces for young people to grow and heal. Every step I take as Miss Queen of the World 2025 is about using my voice, story, and heart to inspire kindness, connection, and lasting change everywhere I go.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The three qualities that shaped my journey are determination, empathy, and intentionality. Determination keeps me pushing forward no matter what. Empathy helps me connect and serve others with heart. And intentionality makes sure I focus on what truly matters.

For anyone starting out, I’d say: stay determined through challenges, practice empathy by really listening, and live intentionally so your efforts make a real difference. These will carry you far.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?

Over the past 12 months, my biggest area of growth has been learning to balance confidence with vulnerability. I’ve grown more comfortable showing my authentic self—sharing not just my successes, but also my struggles and lessons. This openness has deepened my connections and made my work with Athena’s Angels more genuine and impactful.

It’s taught me that strength isn’t about being perfect, but about being real and brave enough to keep moving forward while inspiring others to do the same.
