Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Audrey Collins. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Audrey, appreciate you making time for us and sharing your wisdom with the community. So many of us go through similar pain points throughout our journeys and so hearing about how others overcame obstacles can be helpful. One of those struggles is keeping creativity alive despite all the stresses, challenges and problems we might be dealing with. How do you keep your creativity alive?

I keep my creativity alive by always daring to be different. I love trying things that haven’t been done before. Some times I second guess myself . Often wondering if things will work out. For example my Glam toilet seats. It started out as an idea for myself in my home. I took a risk introducing it to the world. I am happy I let my creativity flow, because now my seats are in homes all over the US as well as internationally. When customers can see my vision it motivates me to keep creating.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I am a wife, mother of five, an Air Force Veteran, Nurse and entrepreneur. Two years ago I decided to step out of my comfort zone and open up a business. My business started from my love to create and entertain. My business Showerthemwithluv steams from me sharing my creative ideas with the world. It is basically showering everyone with my love for creating. I started selling products on Etsy , Facebook marketplace, TikTok and offerup. I began selling gifts for baby showers and decor such as soap dispensers. Currently my most popular item is glam toilet seats. This product came about from myself redesigning my guess bathroom. I received so many compliments on the seat. Finally my niece convinced me to add it to my shops. I was so pleased to see there are so many people who love what I do and trust me to customize seats for them. The goal going forward is to customize seats for hotels, spas, and high end establishments. I am currently working on a corporate event space in my city that gives you the feel of being at a high end location in NYC. I have so many great ideas that I can’t wait to share with the world.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities that I feel are most impactful in my journey is to never give up, work hard and always trust yourself. These qualities are important because in life we tend to let society dictate how you move. In the era we are in currently with social media we can get lost on views and followers. If you are not producing the desired outcome people tend to quit. My advice is not to quit to keep going. You are good enough. Always believe that and it will be evident in everything that you do.
