Aukia, thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?

I developed the ability to take risks over time by pushing myself out of my comfort zone in small, manageable steps. I started by recognizing that failure isn’t something to fear but a part of growth. As I began to take calculated risks, I realized the rewards, whether they were personal growth, new opportunities, or just the confidence in knowing I could handle uncertainty made it worthwhile. It’s also about learning from past experiences, both good and bad, and using them as stepping stones. A big shift for me was learning to see failure as a learning opportunity, not a setback. That mindset shift took time but became crucial. I also learned that risk doesn’t always mean big, life-changing decisions; sometimes, it’s the small, everyday risks that teach you the most. Over time, I started to get more comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, understanding that those moments of risk often open the door to the most growth and innovation. I also found that taking risks helped me build resilience and confidence, because even when things didn’t go as planned, I became better at bouncing back and adapting. Ultimately, it was a shift in mindset that helped me embrace risk rather than shy away from it.

Creating content is my passion, and I’m dedicated to growing my career in content creation. I focus on beauty, lifestyle, and fashion, sharing my love for these areas while inspiring and connecting with my audience. As I continue to expand my platform, I’m excited to collaborate with brands that align with my vision and bring value to my community.

In addition to content creation, I’m also a dedicated realtor. Helping people achieve their dream of homeownership is incredibly rewarding, and I strive to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible. Whether I’m sharing beauty and fashion tips or guiding clients through one of the biggest investments of their lives, my goal is always to provide value, authenticity, and support.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities and skills that have been most impactful are: Consistency & Authenticity, Marketing & Personal Branding and Networking and Relationship Building. In content creation, showing up consistently and staying true to your personal style and message is crucial. Your audience connects with you because of your authenticity, and brands want to collaborate with creators who have a clear identity.
In real estate, building trust with clients requires consistency in communication and genuine care for their needs. People appreciate transparency and honesty, whether you’re helping them buy a home or sharing product recommendations.
