Aungelique , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I’m so incredibly thankful for my faith in God and the strong family foundation my wonderful Mother and Father created for my siblings and I growing up…this is where I get my resilience from. I’m grateful for my excellent parents and their outstanding example.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
My name is Aungelique Scott. I’m a Professional Actress, Producer, Writer, Singer, Dancer & Model.
What’s most exciting about what I do is having the opportunity to explore a variety of tv & film genres while helping people and encouraging people through the stories I’m blessed to be
a part of as a Professional Actress, Producer & Writer in the Entertainment Industry.
I have exciting faith-based projects that I’m currently working on and I have a thriller movie that’s currently streaming on AMC Networks streaming platform Allblk. There is so much more in store, stay tuned.
In addition to this, I’m also a fashion model for a sweatsuit fashion brand. To God Be The Glory. Thank you Jesus. I’m grateful to walk in my purpose and thankful for the special individuals God has blessed to be in my life.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back on my journey to where I am now, the three qualities and areas of knowledge combined that were most impactful in my journey is Focus, Wisdom & Strong Work Ethic.
My advice for people who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these is surround yourself with people who are where you want to be who are a positive influence. Discipline is also a key factor when it comes to focus and a strong work ethic, there were many times I didn’t go to events or gatherings that I was invited to because I needed to focus on studying my craft, reading books that elevated my mind, spending time with God and reading the Word, quality time with family and making sure I was in environments that cultivated joy and peace.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My amazing Mother & my amazing late Father have been the most impactful and helpful as it relates to me overcoming challenges while building and developing essential skills, qualities and knowledge that’s needed to be successful!
