Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Austin Haddox. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Austin, thanks for taking the time to share your lessons with our community today. So, let’s jump right in – one of the most essential skills for unlocking our potential is self-discipline. Where does your self-discipline come from?
My self-discipline is rooted in my failures. Each setback has shaped me, teaching me resilience and the value of perseverance. I’ve experienced the frustration of uncertainty and the disappointment of things not going as planned, but instead of letting those moments define me, I use them as fuel to push forward. Those challenges have instilled a relentless drive in me—a determination to strive for greatness in everything I do, no matter the obstacles.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m not someone who sticks to just one path. In my time on this planet, I’ve explored a wide range of opportunities. Before even reaching my junior year of high school, I earned a welding degree. In college, I studied Space Science, contributing to projects that made their way to actual spaceflight.
After school, I transitioned into commercial construction, where I gained firsthand knowledge of how businesses operate. That experience led me to start my first company—what began as a single Airbnb rental quickly expanded into multiple short-term and long-term properties. A year later, I launched my second business, specializing in event venue sourcing, photobooth rentals, and aerial photography.
While running both companies, I continued working full-time, learning invaluable lessons along the way and connecting with influential people. Three years into business ownership, I’ve had the privilege of organizing multiple charity events to give back to my community. One of my proudest accomplishments is Twilight Tee Off, a glow-in-the-dark celebrity golf fundraiser hosted by my entertainment company, Flashy Frames Entertainment. Now in its second year, this event supports low-income children at a local elementary school, providing them with summer waterpark passes, food, drinks, and a special visit from professional athletes who will inspire them to dream big about their futures.
Later this year, I’ll be launching my third business along with my father Brian Haddox, The Fairway Room—a project that embodies everything I’ve worked toward. More than just a business, it will be a meaningful part of the community, bringing people together in a space built from passion, experience, and dedication.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Success means something different to everyone. For me, it’s about being happy—surrounded by friends and family—while doing something I love. Achieving that kind of success requires resilience, the courage to fail, and the ability to think outside the box.
Nothing I’ve accomplished has come easy, nor did I start out knowing everything. The key is learning to roll with the punches and keep moving forward, even when things don’t go your way. If starting and running a business were easy, everyone would do it—but the reality is, it’s not. True success comes from seeing opportunities where others don’t and having the vision to capitalize on them.
For younger entrepreneurs looking to start a business, one of the biggest pieces of advice I can give is to build a strong team of like-minded individuals. The people you surround yourself with will play a huge role in your success. Whether they provide emotional support or direct collaboration, having a solid network is essential for growth. There’s a reason people say, your network is your net worth—because it’s absolutely true.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have the unwavering support of my friends and family over the years. I truly believe that my success is a direct reflection of the encouragement and guidance they’ve given me. Surrounding myself with passionate, knowledgeable individuals from different fields has not only made me a better entrepreneur but also a better friend and person overall.
My relationship with my family is something I deeply cherish. We’ve been through both good and bad times together, yet even in the toughest moments, their love and support have never wavered. During times when I felt like giving up, they pushed me to keep going, to keep evolving. Their belief in me has helped shape the skills and mindset needed for success, and for that, I am forever grateful.
