Meet Autumn Noel

We recently connected with Autumn Noel and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Autumn, thank you so much for joining us today. There are so many topics we could discuss, but perhaps one of the most relevant is empathy because it’s at the core of great leadership and so we’d love to hear about how you developed your empathy?

I would say growing up in the environment I grew up in of not having a strong support system.. it gave me that sense of relatability. That compassion for others and what they are going through. It gave me the ability to be vulnerable

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m an actress and singer. So far I have done movies and vertical short soap operas. I would say most people know me from the vertical format but I started out in traditional film and made the transition. Recently I have had the opportunity to go back to traditional media and I remembered how much I missed it. As for my music I plan on putting some out eventually. I have written around fifteen songs that need to see the light of day haha.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

To be vulnerable. That’s the number one thing I can say. Your vulnerability as an artist is your super power and you have to use it in whatever way that means to you

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

When I feel overwhelmed and it tends to happen a lot.. I take a moment to appreciate how far I’ve come. The little girl inside of me would be so proud that we even made it to Los Angeles. That was something I never thought was possible. It’s the little things that you can appreciate as well. Those make all of those emotions feel so much smaller when you’re struggling
