Meet Avery Groll

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Avery Groll. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Avery below.

Avery, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
I love this question. It truly makes me reflect on everything I have done, worked towards, and accomplished over the years. To answer honestly…I’d have to say that I found my purpose through a combination of professional trial & error and just living out & experiencing my personal life. Over my course of 13+ professional years working in the corporate Healthcare and Wellness spaces (in all different fashions) I grew as an individual and experienced life at the same time. I became a wife and a mother during those corporate-based years and the incredible life milestones really shifted my perception.
After becoming a first-time mom during the peak of covid, returning to the workforce post maternity leave, and attempting to balance work & family-life…I felt forced to decide between having a career and raising my son during those uncertain times. Ultimately I decided to step away from the corporate realm (temporarily) to fully focus on my role as ‘mama.’ This move forced me to look inwards and consider my true passions and real purpose.
I did some reflecting and took on a new challenge of continuing my education while being the full-time stay at home mom. It turns out I am really passionate about women’s wellness – so, I got dual certified in both Health & Life Coaching. Coining myself a Healthy Lifestyle Coach, my goal is to inspire women to live life well through finding a balance and reprioritizing themselves.
Growing up as a first-born daughter, it was evident that I would be a nurturer, a giver, and a people pleaser in most aspects of my life. From these qualities I recognized an underlying theme: service. Reflecting on it, I have always been passionate about serving others in a meaningful way. Now, whether it be through my coaching, or planning & hosting intentional events to connect the right people, or publishing my first children’s book, or most importantly…caring for my family; I am serving others in a way that makes a positive impact. That is what I consider to be my true purpose!

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
Hey there! I’m Avery, AVery Motivated Mother, who is a multi-passionate being investing time and energy into aligning my personal passions and overall purpose to create my own professional experiences…all while raising my young family at home! I’ve welcomed many new opportunities over the past few years and now wear an assortment of hats that I love!

As of February 2022 I became certified in both Health & Life coaching through continuing my education. Coining myself a Healthy Lifestyle Coach, my focus is to improve women’s wellness. My goal is to motivate women to reprioritize themselves and reclaim their personal health & wellbeing by intentionally making positive life decisions, actively introducing healthier habits, and consistently acknowledging their personal desires.

Since November 2023 I have been a brand ambassador for Ladies Lifestyle Network. As Community Director of my own chapter in Greensboro for the Triad, I am building a positive community of influential women within our area. My role combines intentional event planning (that results in monthly curated experiences for the ladies of our ever-growing network), with creating & maintaining local business & non-profit partnerships, to making monthly sales, and honing social media marketing skills, all while highlighting our local community! The first event I hosted was back in January 2024 and I have been planning, hosting, promoting local, and giving back every month since! Follow @ladieslifestylenetworkgso to stay updated on all local happenings around the Triad region of NC!
As of this summer I took on an additional role as ‘Lifestyle Brand Manager’ to represent LLN on a national level. I am connecting with women-centric brands who want to promote themselves in front of their ideal female-based audience. Partnering with Ladies Lifestyle Network means gaining visibility nationally with a trusted network of influential women in over 20 cities across the country! Our supportive and ever-growing following of thousands of women would love to learn about your offerings!

In addition to all of the above, I am also in the process of publishing my first children’s book! I am thrilled over this journey and cannot wait for it to be available soon! This is a passion project that was inspired by my littles and is for my littles, though I hope many families will enjoy it for years to come! The story inspires independent play, sparks creativity & imagination, and supports positive sibling relationships! The playful scenarios in the book can be replicated at your own home and the goal is to keep littles away from the screen for a little bit longer. Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
To me, the three most important qualities would have to be: Resilience, Persistence, and Patience. Resilience – through it all you just keep going and don’t let the little mishaps get you down along the way.
Persistence – chasing after your dreams or pursuing a goal takes consistency of effort to make it happen.
Patience – going day by day, one small step at a time, will result in leaps and bounds when looking back over time.
Having the combination of these three qualities results in myself being AVery Motivated Mother.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?
Overwhelm. Whew…it is all too familiar. Being a wife and a mom to two boys (2 years apart), balancing the mental load of managing the household, making time to ‘work,’ and finding time to take care of myself, all while having a social life is…A LOT. When I feel myself getting to the point of being overwhelmed I honestly enjoy taking a step outside. Fresh air always does good and I love the sun; I feel like it recharges me. If going outside isn’t an option, I like to light a scented candle or buy fresh flowers to have in the house around my working space during the day. These are small things that help me to realign and just take a beat when needed most.
