We were lucky to catch up with Avonti Adizahyr recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Avonti with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I believe my work ethic is driven by my desire to be successful in all that I do. In order to accomplish anything you have to want it badly enough and you have to work twice as hard to reach every milestone. I also know that nothing and no one owes us anything, we have to be willing to sacrifice and push ourselves to reach new heights. I value myself and what I offer. I’m dependable, positive, dedicated, goal-oriented, motivated, committed, loyal and a self-starter.
I’ve also been taught my entire life that I can accomplish so much when I have a strong work ethic. Over time, I’ve created a “do it like you own it” attitude which has allowed me to pursue great opportunities that were presented to me. I know that in order to have and maintain a strong work ethic, it is important that I also establish a healthy work/life balance. So making sure that I take breaks and enjoy quality time with myself as well as with my children allows me the time that I need to recharge in order to make sure that my work ethic remains effective and productive.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Music and my sincere love and appreciation for the arts is and will always be my first love. Outside of being a creative and with over 15 plus years of administration and visual communications experience and always wanting to be my own boss I opened my company AVONTI ADIZAHYR ENTERPRISES, LLC in 2011. AAENTLLC was a Multi-Services Agency for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs. It was the domain to House of Adizahyr Consulting Firm, LLC, ADIZAHYR Magazine, LLC, and Adizahyr 4 Music Songwriting & Publishing Company, LLC. There I offered many services such as business consulting, graphic design, web/logo design, project/brand management, songwriting, and even music as well as book publishing, these were just a few of the many things I did. I am known for taking the extra mile with creativity to ensure that my clients stood out. I wanted my clients to not only be pleased with me but to see that they also are capable of doing amazing things. I considered AAENTLLC to be the one stop shop for all things DIZAHYRD. I’m most proud of being known as the translators of visions. What sets me apart from others is my ability to quickly transform small thoughts into something BIG. Everyone is capable of seeing their visions, but some people aren’t able to actually translate their visions into reality. That is why AAENTLLC was born! I showed and made visions a reality and pushed my clients to the finish line.
As I prepared to close the doors of AAENTLLC after 10 years to transition into the wine industry and become a Sommelier, I knew that my skills couldn’t be completely laid to rest. I felt deep down that my skills, gifts and talents were not meant for me to keep to myself, they were given to me in order to share with others. We are blessed with our abilities so that we can serve those in need, so using the same business model that I had for AAENTLLC, I changed my focus to assist those with an interest in starting their very own Virtual Assistant company and I launched the VITAL ASSET ASSOCIATION on December 1, 2020. The Vital Asset Association is an organization dedicated to the development of Virtual Assistance Professionals. Our mission is to assist, promote, educate, build and serve all Virtual Assistants to ensure that they are equipped to start and manage an effective business. Upon FREE registration, members receive a membership welcome letter with a membership card, access to our private facebook group, and a members profile on the VAA website. We also offer incentives such as listing your business in the VAA Biz Directory, discount rate to attend events and conferences, access to career development training, access to our VAA community forum, awesome merchandise and so much more. The VAA allows me to share my knowledge and creatively coach others on how to start, manage and brand their company.
Outside of being a creative coach and serving others, I love fashion, designing and all things unique! On April 1, 2021, after many years of privately designing clothes and other things, I officially launched my brand ADIZAHYR, LLC. which is an intentional lifestyle brand manifesting zen, style, greatness, wellness, purpose and abundance. With ADIZAHYR I am able to express myself through all of the aspects of my life in hopes of inspiring others to do the same.
Being in business and owning a business is never easy. I always say that sometimes it requires you to take the journey alone and in my case that’s been the route for me many times. Being burnt so much by people who I felt had my back would have to be the biggest struggle for me, not trusting others eventually molds you into thinking that you can do it all on your own, which is sometimes my case and honestly not a bad trait, but it can also hinder you because you need other minds and creatives to help you write the vision. I just believe that you have to learn how to not only read people but surround yourself with people who want the same things in life that you want. I am blessed to be able to have such amazing people in my corner and I always make sure that I remind them of how appreciative I am to know them. Being told NO is always a struggle as well, BUT at this point in my life, I admire those the most. I still fail to this day but I NEVER GIVE UP!
Overall, I want the world to know that me, my brands and my story’s sole purpose is to bring hope and encouragement to all. I’ve always been told that I am DESTINED FOR GREATNESS and I know that I can only reach that destiny if others are aware that they are destined for greatness as well. We need each other!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in my journey I would have to say was and still is my curiosity, resilience and ability to communicate. Curiosity is a powerful driver of personal growth. The more you seek to learn and understand, the more you’ll be able to adapt and succeed in various endeavors. Read widely, ask questions, and never stop learning. To develop this quality, make a habit of exploring new topics, reading books, taking courses, and staying open to different perspectives. Challenges and setbacks are inevitable in any journey. Having resilience and grit means being able to persevere in the face of adversity. It’s crucial to build mental toughness and the ability to bounce back from failures. You can develop this by setting achievable goals, breaking them down into smaller steps, and persisting even when faced with obstacles. The ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships is invaluable in almost every aspect of life. Whether it’s in your personal life or career, being able to convey your thoughts, ideas, and emotions clearly, and also being a good listener, can make a significant difference. To improve these skills, practice active listening, take public speaking courses, and work on empathy and emotional intelligence.
The advice I would give to those early in their journey would be to set clear goals! Define what you want to achieve and set clear, achievable goals. Having a sense of direction and purpose will help you stay focused and motivated. Seek mentorship and guidance! Don’t be afraid to seek guidance from experienced individuals in your field. A mentor can provide valuable insights and help you avoid common pitfalls. Embrace failure! Don’t be discouraged by failure; instead, view it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Many successful people have experienced multiple failures on their path to success. Network and build relationships! Building a strong professional and personal network can open doors to new opportunities. Attend networking events, connect with peers, and maintain relationships. Be adaptable! In a rapidly changing world, adaptability is key. Be open to change and ready to pivot when necessary. Self-Care is important! Remember to take care of your physical and mental well-being. A healthy body and mind are essential for long-term success. Consistency is key! Consistency in your efforts is often more important than occasional bursts of intense activity. Regular, sustained effort over time can lead to significant achievements. Stay informed! Being in the know about current trends and developments in your field. This will help you stay relevant and make informed decisions. Ultimately, everyone’s journey is unique, and the qualities and skills that are most impactful may vary. The key is to keep learning, adapting, and persevering on your path to success.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always looking to partner and/or collaborate with like minded individuals. I would love the opportunity to connect with other virtual assistant professionals and those who have a desire to be their own boss. At the Vital Asset Association, I dedicate myself to aspiring entrepreneurs who want to use the skills they already have to build and brand their own business. Membership with the VAA provides knowledge and tools for companies, businesses as well as current and future entrepreneurs to learn the fundamentals of Visualizing, Becoming, and Creating a leading brand experience for their customers. For more information, they can connect by becoming a VAA Member at vitalasset.org.
