Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Babs Micheal. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Babs, we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
I can relate this back to my gowing up. We were not born with a silver spoon but my mum taught us all how to be generous. Generosity is a thing of the mind it’s not connected to what you have or what you don’t have. Generosity is about having feelings for helping people. It’s all about love to humanity. So for me, I grew up in a generous family that didn’t really have all but always gave. That has led me into running many generous projects either directly or through our non-governmental organizations. We have been able to pay the school fees of some students in Nigeria, help purchase examination forms, given out scholarships and also annually rewarding educational excellence through a project called ‘The Campus Challenge’. This is an inter-school competition where students from different higher institutions in Nigeria compete for a total of $5000 scholarships. It’s all about giving back to the society and encouraging hard work.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As the CEO of Babs Micheal Global Consultancy with subsidiaries such as Babs Impact College(BIC), a tutorial college in Nigeria that operates as an after school tutoring center. It’s also a preparation ground for students sitting for all kinds of examination. Our non-governmental arm, The Impact Team Africa (TITA), focuses on five core areas: Leadership, Education, Empowerment, Advocacy, and Communication. Through the NGO we have been able to affect lives by supporting their education, empowering them in businesses, running some advocacy programs that includes recognizing important international days, organizing contests and training leaders and rewarding good leadership. We also run an educative Instagram show tagged ‘Impact Educational TV Show’- a weekly interactive session where important life and social issues are discussed, young people particularly students are being inspired, kept abreast of happenings in the world, taught new things, tested and rewarded with cash prizes.
Babs Micheal Global Consultancy in the US runs trainings for entrepreneurs through the Strategic Entrepreneurship and Business School (SEBS) , train public speakers and writers through the Mr Impact Mentorship School (MIMS) and also offers after school tutoring for high school students. In addition to this, we run consultancy services with different schools and train their teachers through the Center for Teachers Effectiveness (CTE) and also help students get better through the Executive Function Analysis.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I will say they are the 3 I’s: Industrious, Impact and Inspiration.
I am an industrious person, doing everything I can legitimately to create success for my path. So, I am not a lazy person.
I basically live for impact as I want to make impacts in the lives of many. This is why they often called me Mr Impact.
My entire life is about inspiration, to make impact in the lives of many. I must live an inspirational life and encourage people to see the positive side of live and evolving into greatness.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
I will say family and when I say family I mean, my immediate family, they are all my inspirations, encouraging me to give my best. This in turn has helped me to seek knowledge and skills needed to navigate the life of impact. Special shout out to my mum, wife and siblings. My family also includes my team. The BMGC team and the TITA team. They have been more than instrumental in the successful execution of all these projects with their knowledge, talents, skills and dedication. I say thank you to them. Let’s keep impacting our world.
