Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Banjo. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Banjo, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
When it comes to resilience, I tend to look for lessons from the streets of Los Angeles. I love a good walkabout. And my best thinking and most meaningful interactions come from hoofing through one-off neighborhoods and stumbled-upon alleys and speaking with those I might not normally interact with.
Danny James Moore has been homeless in Hollywood since 1986. Along the way, we would see each other in the oddest places and began to say hello. His lifestyle fascinated me from the start and our chit-chat expanded naturally into more of a rat-a-tat-tat.
One day, we decided to sit for a series of ‘talk and tips’ intended to help people new to living on the streets survive more peacefully and successfully. The hope was also to create an outlet for someone who might normally not be heard by providing a platform that would elevate them to expert status.
Danny and I discussed a wide range of survive on-the-street topics like tents, storage, acceptance, food, family, protecting yourself, getting a good night’s sleep, finding help, showering, drugs, discrimination, friends, possessions, the bathroom, staying informed, relationships, exercise, sex, trust and more.
As I continue my own journey out there in Hollywood, witnessing Danny’s resilience – day after day – week after week – season after season and year after year has become a go-to source of ‘inspiration’ whenever it’s time for myself to dig deep.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Banjo is that Hollywood guy. An Observationalist who strives to knock the tinsel off the town. He knows the city well, but loves to get lost in it. Tasty Nuggets is the portal to his Hollywood showcase. It’s a bouillabaisse of original thoughts & properties and a link-a-rama for the click-ably curious. #420Friendly

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I am energetic, endlessly curious and love Hollywood 💯. Believe my ability to observe with an open mind and interact with genuine interest is what has allowed me to capture so many unique on-the-street scenarios, which I then enjoy presenting with my own twist.
Everyone’s journey has their own spark. I suggest searching for that, then creatively playing around with it to see where it might lead.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I always say I’d rather be a Beatle than Elvis. For me, collaboration is a big part of enjoying and succeeding at the Hollywood experience. I always enjoy the opportuniity to meet fellow creatives and business people and discuss the possibilities of taking Tasty Nuggets to the next level, or having me contribute to their projects. I have had a wide range of involvements and always strive to elevate and differentiate by serving up ideas that are smart, likable and doable.
