Meet Barbara Paris

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Barbara Paris. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Barbara below.

Hi Barbara, so great to have you on the platform. There’s so much we want to ask you, but let’s start with the topic of self-care. Do you do anything for self-care and if so, do you think it’s had a meaningful impact on your effectiveness?
From an early age I was interest in health and self care. I read many books and researches many sources for more knowledge.
Did notice how the better I cared for myself the better I felt. I’ have a job that requires me to be evenly effective throughout the day.
Eating regular meals, healthy food and beverage choices have definitely made a difference. Regular y also has been key to my productivity..
I have dance, walk, swim, bike and make a point of a regular schedule.
I love my rest and make my health care a priority and credit it to a sound mind, an even temperament and energy to be creative consistently.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
The most relevant thing to me is making people happy. Helping them achieve a hair style that makes them feel their best. Building a relationship of trust with them. Hair styles evolve. I enjoy the evolutionary process of hair styling and relationship. I love discovering the sweetness of the people I work with over time.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Consistency is very relevant knowing you are only as good as the last service you accomplished. I love leaning and when you invest your time in learning your profession as well as possible you have the ability to achieve your most creative ideas successfully. You then can share with your clients how they can best achieve the same at home.
If you are starting your journey pacing yourself is very important. It allows you to work with in your own personal boundaries of energy. That results in better work and timeliness.
Keeping your appointments and presenting yourself well as a professional. Having a genuine interest in the people you encounter and the service you are providing creates true joy and spreads it as well

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
My parents were very helpful in that when I was full of dreams they imagined with me. They lead me to believe if I could dream it, it was possible to achieve.
That was an so helpful in allowing me cultivate my dreams and find my journey. Creating ones dreams is a challenge enough. I had so many ideas along the way. Starting with the lemonade stand, to the mini seed company from our garden flower seeds. Nannying at a very young age.
Then becoming a stylist, owning my own salon, getting published in trade and fashion magazine and my biggest dream was to do hair with a team at the fashion week collections in Paris.
We all have dreams. Believe in them. They are the road to your happiness.
When I meet nay sayers I just say “My dreams come true”.
