Batuhan, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

I actually maintain my creativity by staying update, learning, researching, and continuously producing diverse content. One of the most significant factors supporting my creativity over the years has been my debt to superheroes. In particular, the character who has inspired me the most is ”The Flash.” For instance, I find that my long-standing fascination with superheroes, particularly The Flash, fuels my creative drive. Working on projects that challenge my imagination and push my boundaries, like the short film I made last year, also helps me stay creatively energized.

This short film not only strengthened my creative side with my team but also pushed my limits and imagination. This is because the “original ring” I used in the film was the actual prop ring used in The Flash’s film.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I’m Batuhan Şafak, a part-time actor and creative guy. Professionally, I focus on creative projects, where both artistic and strategic approaches are crucial to me. I aim to inspire viewers by portraying different characters and producing various types of content. My work always requires innovation and diversity, which makes it an exciting process for me.

What excites me the most is pushing my own boundaries and developing creative perspectives in my projects. For example, last year, my first acting experience in a short film honoring The Flash was a significant step for both me and my team. This project strengthened my creative side and expanded my imagination.

One of my goals over the years has been to collaborate with popular actors to create diverse content. Luckily, our short film was noticed by actor/musician Ezra Miller, and Ezra sent me a surprise message congratulating me. This was a very special moment for me. I also plan to continue making short films using the screen-used props I’ve recently acquired. One of my aims is to create new stories using these screen-used props, which provides me with both creative and technical fulfillment.

I’m also working on (new projects, events,etc.) and I look forward to sharing more details about these developments soon. I’m excited to have you along on this journey!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Reflecting on my journey, I believe the three most impactful qualities and skills have been:

Resilience: The ability to overcome challenges and setbacks has been crucial. Resilience allowed me to keep pushing forward despite obstacles and maintain my focus on long-term goals. Nothing is impossible; yes, I try various paths to achieve what I want. Even if it takes months, I never give up and continue to put in the effort.

Creativity: Embracing creativity has been essential in differentiating myself and producing unique content. It has helped me find innovative solutions and stand out in a competitive field.

Continuous Learning: Staying curious and committed to learning has kept me up-to-date with industry trends and new techniques. It has allowed me to adapt and grow continuously in my career.

For those who are early in their journey, my advice would be:

Embrace Challenges: Understand that setbacks are a natural part of the process. View them as learning opportunities and remain resilient. Nothing is impossible; try various approaches to achieve your goals and never give up on your efforts.

Foster Creativity: Allow yourself to explore different ideas and approaches. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and experiment with new concepts.

Commit to Lifelong Learning: Always be open to acquiring new skills and knowledge. Attend workshops, read extensively, and seek mentorship to keep evolving in your field.
By focusing on these areas, you can build a strong foundation for your career and navigate your journey with greater confidence and success.

Absolutely! One of my greatest aspirations has always been to partner with Warner Bros. a film production company I have admired for years. I have watched their films countless times, promoted them everywhere, and even hosted screenings in my home country, Turkiye. The movies I’ve hosted include The Flash (2023) and Blue Beetle (2023). My admiration for Warner Bros. runs deep; I sometimes feel as if I worked with them in another life. While I can’t prove this, my feelings are strong and sincere.

I am genuinely eager to collaborate with Warner Bros. to create engaging content and explore exciting opportunities with their team. I am currently in contact with their Turkish branch, but I am also very enthusiastic about visiting their offices in London and the United States. The Flash ring, honored by Warner Bros. is incredibly precious to me and symbolizes my deep affection for this company.

Truly hope to have the opportunity to create enjoyable and impactful content with this company in the long term.

In the future, I’m eager to announce my new short film projects to the world because I’ll be bringing incredible creations to you. Here’s a little spoiler: When you look out the sky, what’s the first thing that catches your eye in the sky? A bird? A plane? Oh no, the answer will come in 2025.
