We recently connected with Bella Bedrosian and have shared our conversation below.

Bella , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.

I keep my creativity alive by staying curious and letting my work evolve with me. My creative path actually started in fashion. While I was in college, I ran a fashion and beauty blog that allowed me to attend NYFW shows and industry events. Being in that world at a young age taught me how to observe design with intention. I learned to notice mood, color, movement, and all the small choices that come together to shape a visual story.

Over time, I realized what I loved most wasn’t the fashion itself. It was the digital side of everything I was creating. I loved editing photos, building layouts, and designing the online experience. That curiosity led me into graphic and web design, where I found the medium that felt most natural to me.

Creativity has stayed alive for me because I’ve always allowed it to shift and expand. Each chapter has opened the door to the next, and following that instinctive pull is still what guides my work today.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I run two creative businesses that each reflect different sides of my design background. Studio B is my digital studio, where I create branding, content, and marketing visuals for real estate agents, small businesses, and lifestyle brands. I love helping clients develop a visual identity that feels elevated and intentional, whether that means creating renderings, editing listing content, or managing their social presence so everything they share feels cohesive and thoughtfully designed.

Open Door Studio is a business I run with my sister, Samantha Cascais, and it grew out of our shared desire to balance digital work with something more tactile. It started with pumpkins and magnolia wreaths and quickly became a full seasonal styling service for front doors and exterior spaces. Working side by side gives the brand a very personal feel. We experiment with texture, scale, and natural materials to create installations that are warm, layered, and welcoming. It gives us the chance to connect with our community and bring beauty into real spaces in a hands-on way.

What excites me most is how naturally these two worlds support each other. Studio B sharpens my eye for composition and branding, and Open Door Studio keeps me grounded in the physical side of design. Together, they allow me to create in a way that feels balanced and true to who I am as a designer.

Both businesses are growing, and I’m continuing to expand within real estate marketing and seasonal decor. I love partnering with clients at different stages of their creative journey and helping them bring a vision to life, whether that’s online, on a front step, or through the story their brand tells.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three qualities that have been most impactful in my journey are adaptability, curiosity, and trust in my own creative instinct.

Adaptability has allowed me to grow across very different industries. I started in fashion, moved into digital design, stepped into real estate marketing, and now split my time between Studio B and Open Door Studio. Each transition only worked because I allowed myself to evolve and didn’t hold on to one narrow definition of what my career “should” look like. My advice for anyone early in their journey is to stay open to where your interests naturally pull you. Your path doesn’t have to be linear to be meaningful.

Curiosity has always been the spark behind my work. It’s what pushed me to learn web design while I was blogging in college, to dive into editing and branding, and later to explore hands-on creative work through décor. Curiosity keeps you learning, experimenting, and discovering what you’re actually good at, not just what you planned to be good at.

Trusting my creative instinct has been the most important piece. Design is subjective. Building a brand or creating content requires intuition and the willingness to follow your eye even when it goes against what feels expected. Over time, the more I honored that instinct, the stronger my work became. For anyone starting out, I’d say listen to the ideas that excite you and don’t be afraid to create in your own way, even if it looks different from what other people are doing.

I’m always open to connecting with new clients, and much of the work I do through Studio B can be done remotely. Whether it’s branding, content creation, or digital marketing support, I enjoy working with people who value strong storytelling and a polished creative direction.
