We recently connected with Bella Logan and have shared our conversation below.
Bella, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
People often ask me, “How did you find your purpose?”
The truth is, I didn’t find it overnight. It took years of searching, trying, failing, and growing. As someone with many talents, I’ve always struggled with the question: What am I really here to do?
For a long time, I felt lost—even while appearing successful. I had followers, attention, a college path, and later a modeling career. But deep down, something was still missing. No matter how many likes I got or how much money I made, I never felt fully fulfilled. I realized I was chasing things that looked like purpose, but didn’t feel like purpose.
Let me back up a bit.
Growing up, I was naturally drawn to technology. I was the kid who could figure out computers and apps quickly, and that led me to study computer engineering in college. At the same time, I had a fun and outgoing personality that connected with people online. I built a following through funny videos and dancing. On the surface, it seemed like I had it all figured out.
But as college became more stressful and expensive, I switched to electrical engineering just to finish faster and make my family proud. That path made sense—but didn’t light me up. Then, something unexpected happened: a photographer reached out to me. That’s when modeling entered my life.
What started as taking pictures in nice outfits turned into something deeper. Modeling became a form of self-expression. I began creating visuals that reflected different sides of me—almost like storytelling through images. I remembered how, even as a teen, I loved editing my own photos using apps like PicsArt. I didn’t realize it then, but I was already practicing digital creativity.
Still, even with modeling and a growing online presence, I felt a spiritual emptiness. I started asking harder questions—What is my actual purpose? Why do I still feel unfulfilled?
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Purpose isn’t just about what you’re good at. It’s about what you’re here to do—for others, for the world, and for God.
I believe everyone has talents—things they’re naturally good at. But talents are just tools. Purpose is the assignment. And if we’re not careful, we can make our gifts or success our idol, and completely miss the deeper meaning.
That’s what happened to me. I let my talents define me. I let achievements become my identity. And in the process, I lost sight of the One who gave me those gifts in the first place—God.
Now I know: my purpose isn’t to just be a model, or an engineer, or an entertainer.
My purpose is to share the love of Jesus Christ in a unique and authentic way—with the community He’s given me—using the talents He placed in me.
So if you’re wondering how to find your purpose, here’s a starting point:
-Ask God to show you. Pray and invite Him into the process.
-Take a moment to reflect. Write down 3 things you’ve always been naturally good at.
-Look for the connection. One (or all) of those talents might point you toward your divine assignment.
And if you’re still unsure—that’s okay. I’m here. Reach out. Sometimes all it takes is someone to walk beside you as you figure it out. You don’t have to do this alone.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I specialize in soulful, editorial storytelling—offering a range of creative services including modeling, styling, creative direction, and photography. Every project I take on is crafted to tell a meaningful story, whether it reflects my client’s truth or my own.
My mission goes beyond the visuals. I strive to leave every person I work with feeling more powerful, more confident, and more beautiful than they already are—ready to walk through the world with assurance and grace.
I’m currently accepting new clients and open to collaborations with photographers, creatives, and brands—locally and internationally. If you’re interested in working together, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Email is preferred so I don’t miss your inquiry, but you’re welcome to connect through social media as well.
I’d love to connect, create, and build something impactful with you.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, I’d say the three most impactful things in my journey have been self-awareness, adaptability, and emotional intelligence.
1. Self-Awareness
Learning who I am at my core—beyond titles, trends, and talents—was foundational. It gave me clarity and helped me stay grounded, especially when I felt lost or uncertain. Self-awareness allowed me to stop comparing myself to others and start embracing the path God was carving specifically for me.
My advice: Take time to sit with yourself. Journal. Pray. Ask honest questions like, “What lights me up?” or “Where do I feel most drained?” Knowing yourself is the first step toward knowing your purpose.
2. Adaptability
My journey hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve moved through engineering, social media, modeling, styling, and photography. I had to learn how to adjust, evolve, and let go of the fear of change. Being adaptable helped me grow creatively and spiritually.
My advice here: Don’t be afraid to pivot. Allow yourself the freedom to explore different sides of who you are. Sometimes detours are divine redirections. Stay open, and be willing to evolve.
3. Emotional Intelligence
Working in creative spaces means working with people—lots of them. And to do that well, I had to grow in patience, empathy, and emotional presence. Emotional intelligence helped me build safe and empowering spaces where clients and collaborators feel seen and confident.
My advice here: Don’t just work on your craft—work on your character. Practice listening. Be mindful of your energy. And remember: people may forget the photo, but they won’t forget how you made them feel.
In the end, my biggest advice to anyone just starting is this: Don’t worry about being perfect—focus on being real. Let your journey unfold. Trust God. You already have everything you need to take the first step.
Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
There have been a few key people God placed in my life—even if not physically—who have helped shape me in powerful ways: Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts, Pastor Touré Roberts, and Bishop T.D. Jakes. I’ve never met them in person, but I’ve experienced their ministry deeply through The Potter’s House of Dallas and online sermons.
Their words have carried prophetic power—not just motivation, but true revelation. The oil of God is undeniably over their lives and ministry. The way they deliver truth, with both grace and authority, has helped me heal, grow, and see myself through God’s eyes, not the world’s.
During seasons when I felt lost—struggling with identity, purpose, and even direction in my creative career—it was their messages that pulled me back to center. I began to see that my gifts weren’t just talents to be used for success, but tools for impact, ministry, and divine assignment. Their teachings helped shape my self-awareness, adaptability, and emotional intelligence—skills I now rely on daily in my career, relationships, and walk with God.
Through their ministry, I learned how to show up with boldness, how to lead with compassion, and how to trust God even in uncertainty. I’ve grown spiritually, but also practically—becoming a better businesswoman, a better friend, and a more grounded version of myself.
They reminded me that I wasn’t just called to create—I was called to minister through my creativity. That’s changed everything about how I move in the world.
