Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bernardo Olmos. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Bernardo, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I think it started when I stopped setting unrealistically high standards and goals; where the “unrealistic” part was usually the deadlines, not the goals themselves. I just began giving myself more time to achieve what I truly want.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I currently run Calotype Lab, a small advertising and visual agency dedicated to creating premium content for anyone looking to promote their work. The broad scope is what makes it exciting… the constant shift between industries, the research each project requires, and the challenge of finding the right tools for every client. It can be overwhelming at times, but always inspiring.
We produce everything from film editorial portraits to advanced products like 360° interactive real estate tours, which we can virtually furnish using strict interior design references to help clients position themselves at the highest level of their niche. My small team and I aim to make every campaign or photoshoot not only a sharp marketing tool, but also a piece of art.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
For me, learning to sell, developing technical skills, and being genuinely empathetic with the people you work with are fundamental.

Awesome, really appreciate you opening up with us today and before we close maybe you can share a book recommendation with us. Has there been a book that’s been impactful in your growth and development?
From George Orwell’s dystopian novel 1984, I learned that nothing should ever be taken for granted.
