Meet Beth Venable

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Beth Venable . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Beth below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Beth with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?

My family is filled with entrepreneurs, and they’re incredibly hard workers. My drive comes from my parents and my siblings as we all love to go above and beyond in whatever we do in our lives. Our values were instilled in us throughout our childhood.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I own Side By Side Design Texas, a professional organization business serving Houston and the surrounding areas. My team and I help families and businesses with their spaces and their belongings. We provide declutter sessions where we help our clients make decisions on what to keep or eliminate. We offer organization sessions where we implement systems to help our clients get organized and stay organized. We also help with moving services. Our clients hire us to help them get their home ready to list by decluttering the space in addition to providing packing and unpacking services as well.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Hard work, determination, and patience are key skills needed to get a small business up and running. A business owner has so many responsibilities, and it can be overwhelming. It’s really important to take things one step at a time and to maintain a healthy work/life balance. The hardest part of getting going for me was marketing my business and finding clients.

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?

My ideal client is a busy mom or household that needs to declutter, organize or move. We specialize in working with clients who have ADHD, anxiety and depression. The work that we do is exhausting, but we love being able to help others. We can transform a space in a few hours and complete an entire home in a few days. Our clients benefit from our helping hands, our expertise, and the luxury of what we call the one stop shop. We do the planning, shopping, and returns. We also take donations for our clients. Our goal is to make the process as easy for our clients as possible so that we can go in, do our thing, and help them feel amazing about their home or business.
