We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Beth Wilson-Parentice. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Beth below.
Beth , thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
Early in my journey as a founder—especially as a woman in the CPG and male-dominated beverage space—I often found myself in rooms where I was the only woman, the only mother, the only one who didn’t come from money or an Ivy League background. I walked into pitch meetings where I was expected to shrink myself to fit someone else’s version of what a “founder” should look like.
But here’s what I learned: being the only one in the room isn’t a disadvantage. It’s a signal that you have a unique story, perspective, and voice—and that’s your power. I didn’t need to blend in. I needed to stand in my truth.
I started sharing my story with full transparency: that I built my beverage brand, Sipp Sparkling Organics, from my kitchen table as a mom, that I bootstrapped my way through early growth, and I included my signature on every bottle because I believed in what I created. That level of authenticity built trust—and that trust opened doors. Eventually, those same rooms started inviting me in not in spite of my differences, but because of them.
So now, when I find myself as the only one in the room, I walk in with purpose. I know that someone else’s definition of credibility isn’t what defines me. I lead with belief—belief in my vision, my values, and the impact I’m here to make. And I remind myself: sometimes you’re the only one in the room because you’re the first. But you won’t be the last.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
’m a brand builder at heart—but more than that, I’m a belief builder. My journey started in my kitchen, where I created Sipp, an organic sparkling beverage that grew from a personal passion to a nationwide brand. I raised over $2 million in venture capital, navigated the highs and lows of entrepreneurship, and learned firsthand what it takes to build a standout brand in one of the toughest industries out there.
Today, I’m the founder of Believe Agency, where I help emerging food and beverage founders grow their brands with strategy, storytelling, and the emotional resilience it takes to succeed. What makes my work special is that I don’t just focus on sales numbers or packaging—I focus on the founder behind the brand. Because I know from experience that growing a business means growing yourself.
Through Believe Agency, I’ve created programs, workshops, and consulting offerings that blend tactical growth strategies with mindset coaching. I help founders navigate everything from retail expansion to overcoming imposter syndrome. My mission is to make sure no founder feels isolated, unsupported, or unheard—especially women who are often underestimated in this space.
What excites me most right now is the expansion of Built to Believe, a movement and educational platform I’m building to bring this philosophy to a larger audience. We’re launching courses, resources, and community-driven experiences designed to support founders from the inside out.
I’m also launching Manifest with Belief, a signature candle collection that pairs scent with guided affirmations to help entrepreneurs shift their mindset, build momentum, and reconnect with their vision. Each candle includes a QR code that unlocks a personal ritual—because sometimes the biggest breakthroughs happen in the smallest moments of belief.
At the end of the day, everything I create—whether it’s a brand strategy, a mindset workshop, or a product—is rooted in one simple but powerful idea: when you believe in yourself, you build things that last.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
For me, the three most impactful qualities have been:
1. Resilience (Mental & Emotional)
The entrepreneurial path is not linear. It’s filled with setbacks, detours, and moments that will test your belief in yourself. What got me through wasn’t just grit—it was learning to bounce back differently each time. I learned to pause, reflect, and use every challenge as a pivot point, not a stopping point.
Advice:
Start building emotional resilience like a muscle. Journal through tough moments, find a mentor who’s been there, and create non-negotiable rituals that ground you. The goal isn’t to avoid hard times—it’s to navigate them with clarity and compassion.
2. Storytelling & Communication
Being able to clearly articulate why your brand exists, who it serves, and why it matters is what turns a product into a movement. My success with Sipp wasn’t just about the beverage—it was the story behind it that got me into Target and Starbucks.
Advice:
Practice telling your story until it feels authentic and powerful. Don’t just talk about features—share the heart behind your brand. Get feedback, refine it, and remember: people invest in people, not just products.
3. Strategic Relationship Building
So much of my growth has come from relationships—mentors, investors, retail buyers, collaborators. But it’s not about transactional networking. It’s about building real, human connections based on mutual value and trust.
Advice:
Be intentional about who you want to learn from and connect with. Offer value first. Follow up. Stay top of mind in a way that feels genuine. Every relationship is a seed—you never know which one will bloom into your next big opportunity.
Bottom line:
If you focus on resilience, storytelling, and relationships, you’ll have the foundation to build anything—a brand, a movement, or the next chapter of your life!
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
My ideal client is a founder with a bold vision—but they’re feeling stuck between the dream and the execution. They’re passionate, purpose-driven, and have a product they believe in, but they’re overwhelmed by the chaos of growth. They know they’re onto something special, but they need clarity, strategy, and someone who’s been through the trenches to help them navigate the next level.
I work best with founders who are:
Hungry, but humble. They’re ready to do the work, open to learning, and aren’t afraid to admit what they don’t know.
Purpose-driven. They aren’t just chasing sales—they’re building something with meaning and heart.
Open to mindset growth. They understand that scaling a brand means scaling themselves—emotionally, mentally, and as leaders.
Looking for a true partner, not just a consultant. I don’t do surface-level fixes. I go deep, and my clients value that level of commitment and candor.
If you’re a founder who’s tired of piecing together random advice, who craves a strategic partner that gets it—someone who can help you grow your brand while also helping you believe in yourself again—that’s where I come in.
Because at the end of the day, brands don’t build themselves. Founders do. And I’m here to help entrepreneurs become the founder your brand needs to thrive.
At every stage of my journey, belief has been the difference between giving up and breaking through. Not blind optimism—but earned belief. The kind you build by showing up for yourself, again and again, even when the odds are stacked against you.
That’s what I help founders do. Because it’s not just about getting into Target or raising millions—it’s about becoming the kind of leader who knows they deserve to be there.
When you believe differently, you build differently.
And that’s when everything changes.
