Bethany, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

Social media is an ever-changing space with vague guidelines, success metrics, and pay. I love how entrepreneurial being a content creator is, but it certainly comes with a lot of hard work outside of my full-time job, a slow growth rate, and unguaranteed success. People rarely talk about how tricky it can be to optimize content across multiple platforms, considering how different the strategies need to be, which is something I am still figuring out. I know that consistency is key and nothing worth having comes easy, so I must continue to be resilient through the hardships!

Hi, I’m Bethany! I moved to Denver after graduating from college in 2021 (Boomer Sooner!) and accepting a corporate job in advertising. Being born and raised in Dallas, TX, I was overjoyed to be somewhere as beautiful and active as Colorado. I began sharing my excitement about living in this lively city through my lens on TikTok and started to grow a community. Alongside my career in advertising, I now consider myself a lifestyle content creator with an emphasis on Colorado restaurants and businesses on TikTok and Instagram. I have developed a passion for promoting local activities and events, highlighting my travel experiences, and sharing my everyday life. I have always had a love for photography and videography so I feel extremely grateful to have an outlet that fulfills my creative desires! While I try to optimize the amount of content I push out, I am also committed to creating high-quality videos that have landed me deals with both large and small brands. I am currently the content creator for the Halcyon Hotel in Cherry Creek, including the hotel itself, Local Jones, Rare Bird Rooftop Bar, and B&GC. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Be a sponge, engage with your community, and remain consistent despite hardship! Being from out-of-state, otherwise known as a “transplant,” I feel as though I have a unique perspective on meeting friends, getting involved in the community, and making the most of life in Denver.
