Hi Bethany, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

How I Found My Life’s Purpose

For a long time, I thought purpose had to be something you chased down — a destination waiting at the end of endless striving. I searched outside myself, trying on different roles and listening to other people’s ideas of who I should be. But the more I looked outward, the further away I felt from the truth of who I was.

My purpose didn’t arrive all at once. It revealed itself in quiet whispers and strange moments: the tug in my heart when I lit a candle, the way my spirit sparked alive during a reading, the undeniable pull I felt toward healing others’ pain as if it were my own. At first, I dismissed these things as hobbies, accidents, or fleeting curiosities. But they were the breadcrumbs leading me home.

The turning point came when I finally stopped resisting my gifts. I realized the things that had always made me feel “different” weren’t burdens — they were the keys. The sensitivity that once overwhelmed me became intuition. The strange encounters and energies I couldn’t explain became my teachers. The love I carried for helping people heal became the fire that lit my path.

My life’s purpose wasn’t hidden in a far-off future. It had been with me since the beginning, waiting for me to claim it. My journey taught me that purpose isn’t something you find — it’s something you remember.

Now I live aligned with that truth: helping others heal, awaken, and find their own light. And in doing so, I’ve discovered that the greatest purpose is to become fully yourself, unapologetically, and use that authenticity to touch the lives of others.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I’ve always felt a deep pull toward the unseen, the energies that weave through our lives and shape our experiences. From a young age, I was gifted with the ability to tune into intuition, spirits, and messages beyond the veil. For years I kept these gifts quietly to myself, but eventually I realized they weren’t just for me—they were meant to help others. That’s how Bewitched by Bethany was born.

Professionally, I focus on a blend of psychic and tarot readings, candle cleanses, hypnosis, energy work, and handcrafted metaphysical tools. What excites me most is the transformation I get to witness in others—the way a simple reading can bring clarity, how a candle cleanse can lift years of heavy energy, or how a ritual can restore someone’s sense of power and peace. It’s not just “fortune telling” or magic tricks; it’s soul work.

What makes my work special is the way I personalize everything. No two readings or cleanses are ever alike, because no two people are alike. Every session is guided by spirit and tailored to the client’s unique situation. My intention is always to help people reconnect with their own power, heal wounds, and step forward lighter and clearer than before.

Beyond services, my brand also includes handmade spell jars, copper jewelry, and ritual tools—pieces crafted with care and intention, designed to carry protective and empowering energy into daily life. I also love teaching, so I’ve begun offering classes and workshops, like my upcoming Candle Interpretation series, where I share the history, symbolism, and practice of candle magic.

Right now, I’m expanding into events and fairs, bringing my work directly to the community. I’ll be at psychic fairs and markets in both Utah and Arizona, and I’m also developing a larger fair of my own that will bring together healers, artists, and spiritual teachers. On top of that, I’m writing a book about my own supernatural and spiritual experiences—a blend of memoir and metaphysical guide—that I hope will inspire and support others on their own journeys.

Ultimately, my focus is on helping people awaken, heal, and align with their true path. My brand is rooted in authenticity, magic, and transformation—and I want everyone who comes across Bewitched by Bethany to feel seen, supported, and a little more connected to the magic that already lives inside them.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three Qualities That Impacted My Journey

1. Intuition & Sensitivity
From the beginning, my intuition has been my compass. Being sensitive to energies, emotions, and subtle shifts might have felt overwhelming at times, but it became my greatest strength once I learned to trust it. For anyone starting out, I’d say: practice listening to your inner voice, even in small ways. Journal your gut feelings, notice when you’re right, and build trust in your inner guidance.

2. Resilience & Adaptability
The spiritual and healing path isn’t linear. I’ve faced challenges—energetic interference, personal struggles, financial ups and downs—but resilience has kept me going. Adaptability allowed me to flow with the unexpected, rather than resist it. My advice here is: don’t fear obstacles. They shape your wisdom. See challenges as part of your training rather than as signs you’re off-course.

3. A Deep Desire to Serve & Heal
More than anything, what drives me is the love of helping others feel lighter, clearer, and more empowered. That sense of purpose is what carried me through the times of doubt. For those beginning their journey, I’d recommend focusing on service rather than perfection. Ask yourself: “How can my gifts make someone’s day better?” When your work is rooted in genuine care, everything else unfolds naturally.

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?

What I Do When I Feel Overwhelmed

When I feel overwhelmed, I return to the basics: grounding, breath, and ritual. For me, overwhelm often comes when my energy is scattered or when I’ve taken on too much from others. The first step is to pause. I’ll step outside, put my bare feet on the earth, and just breathe until I feel myself come back into my body.

I also lean on small rituals—lighting a candle, sprinkling salt around my space, or saying a protective prayer. These acts remind me that I am safe, supported, and in control of my own energy. Sometimes I’ll use lavender oil or take a salt bath to reset not just my mind, but my spirit.

My advice for others is simple:

Create a reset ritual. It doesn’t have to be elaborate. Maybe it’s stepping outside, maybe it’s holding a crystal, maybe it’s journaling for five minutes. Having something you can turn to when the noise gets too loud is powerful.

Listen to your body. Overwhelm often shows up as tension, exhaustion, or scattered thoughts. Honor those signals instead of pushing past them.

Call your energy back. Say out loud, “I call back all of my energy to myself, cleansed and whole.” Words are spells, and this one always helps me feel centered.

Overwhelm is a reminder that we are human, carrying a lot in a busy world. It’s not a weakness—it’s a signal to return home to ourselves.
