Meet Bianca Vayna

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Bianca Vayna. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Bianca with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethic comes from my grandparents and my parents. They always did what was needed no matter what; that belief was instilled in me at very young age.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Hello, I’m Bianca Vayna, the owner of Lovisa Salon, a casual-luxury, four-chair salon situated in Cincinnati, Ohio in the Hyde Park area.

Business-wise I am currently working on building my brand and cultivating my staff, while providing a unique experience for everyone.

Personally, I am working on self-care, learning when to hang it up and just take time for other things that are equally important.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Do Not Stop…. keep moving forward. No matter how small the steps may seem, those small steps add up to bigger ones.

Be open, which also means to be flexible and adapt as needed. To learn new things, to continuously put yourself out there to learn and grow. To understand that “failure” is part of the process. It just a result that did not give you what you wanted. Nothing more, don’t let it derail you.

Don’t compare yourself to others , it truly is a killer of joy. We all have our own timeline. If I would have let what I saw on social media influence me, or how I saw other salon owners. I would not have opened my own salon at the age of 56.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
They taught me to question things. Which help me to find my voice, I always stood up for myself and others if I saw or felt something was not right.
