Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Big Xodia. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Big , thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
All I ever wanted was to make music — not just for the fame or recognition, but because it’s the fire that fuels me. From day one, I’ve been driven by a relentless desire to grow, to learn, and to become the best version of myself through this art form.
Every step I’ve taken to get where I am wasn’t handed to me — it was earned through sacrifice, grit, and faith. While others were out relaxing, partying, or giving in to distractions, I stayed up through the night grinding. I rehearsed relentlessly. I memorized every line, refined every verse, and invested every dollar I could into building something greater than myself. Music wasn’t a hobby — it became my purpose.
I’ve poured my heart, time, and soul into this. So no hater, no critic, no voice of doubt can shake what I’ve built. I don’t move for the opinions of others — I move for the calling that was placed on me. As long as I have breath in my lungs and rhythm in my heart, I will not stop. Not because it’s easy… but because this is who I am.
God gave me a gift, and I honor that gift with persistence. To stop now? I’d have to be dead.
I will keep going — not in spite of the hate, but because of it. Let it come. I’m already moving forward.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I make music — but more than that, I live it. Anytime someone asks what I do, I tell them proudly: I create energy. I’m Big Xodia — an unstoppable force of rhythm, passion, and positivity. Music is how I speak life into the world.
I didn’t come from the brightest circumstances. I was surrounded by negativity, but instead of letting it consume me, I chose to flip it. I turned my pain into power, my silence into sound, and my struggle into songs. That’s how Big Xodia was born — from fire, from faith, and from the choice to be more than what my environment said I could be.
What makes my music special is the intention behind it. Every verse, every beat, every bar I spit — it’s crafted to uplift, ignite, and move people. I’m not here to blend in. I’m here to shake the room, raise the energy, and leave something behind that truly matters.
My brand isn’t just about music — it’s about movement. I believe in giving 100% of myself to everything I do. That’s why my motto is: DIE EMPTY. I don’t want to leave this world with potential locked inside. Every stage I hit, every crowd I reach, I’m pouring it all out — no holding back.
There’s more coming too. More shows. More videos. More collaborations. I’m expanding what it means to be an artist who stands for something. So if you see Big Xodia, know this — you’re not just witnessing a performance. You’re experiencing purpose in motion.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back, the three most impactful qualities in my journey have been organization, adaptability, and patience — and I say that with confidence because I had to earn every one of them the hard way.
1. Organization.
This is the foundation. Without structure, even the most talented person can crumble under pressure. I’m still growing in this area myself, but I’ve learned that if your vision isn’t organized, it will fall apart. You’ll get overwhelmed, deadlines will slip, and stress will steal your passion. So whether it’s planning out your week, managing your creative workflow, or just tracking your progress — stay organized. It gives your dreams a spine.
2. Adaptability.
If you can’t adjust, you won’t survive — plain and simple. The journey is never a straight line. Venues change, algorithms shift, people back out, and life throws curveballs. You have to become flexible without losing focus. Learn how to pick things up and put things down when needed. Treat adaptation not just as a reaction, but as a skill you actively train. It’s how you stay in the game when everything changes.
3. Patience.
In a world that worships overnight success, patience is your hidden superpower. Everyone wants it all right now — the fame, the recognition, the results. But real growth takes time. Study the craft. Watch. Wait. Learn. Don’t rush the process — respect it. That patience will keep you steady when things feel slow, and it’ll make your victories even more meaningful.
My advice? Master the small things early. Get your systems in place, stay flexible in your thinking, and don’t let frustration steal your focus. If you can hold onto these three — organization, adaptability, and patience — you’ll not only go far, you’ll last.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
PERSPECTIVE. That’s the key.
Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I stop and shift the lens. The truth is, the problem and the solution can both change depending on how you choose to look at the situation.
Most people get stuck because they keep staring at the problem from one angle — and that creates stress, confusion, and burnout. But when you take a moment, step back, and look at it differently — like really zoom out or flip the question — you’ll often find a new path you didn’t even know existed.
So next time it feels like too much, try this: breathe, pause, and reframe it. Is it the end… or just a new beginning? Is it a wall… or a redirect? Shift your mindset, and I guarantee you’ll find new answers every time
