Confidence is a crucial factor in the world of photography. It is the key to gaining the trust of your clients and assuring them that you are capable of delivering exceptional results. Many of the individuals I work with are often anxious, especially if it is their first experience with professional photography. Therefore, I place great emphasis on being well-prepared. This involves conducting thorough research, practicing various shooting techniques, and keeping up-to-date with editing tutorials to ensure that my clients receive nothing but the best quality of work.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m Ash, a photographer with nearly 13 years of experience, 8 of which have been spent freelancing. My passion lies in portrait and event photography, where I take pride in capturing moments that bring joy to my clients. This year, my focus is on expanding my business and creating more opportunities for my creativity to shine. I am excited about the journey ahead and look forward to pushing the boundaries of my artistry.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three key skills and qualities that have been pivotal in my journey as a photographer are composition, consistency, and customer service.
Composition is essential as it requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to play with lighting and angles effectively during a shoot.
Consistency is crucial in maintaining a high standard of work. It is important to bring the same level of energy and dedication to every client and project.
Customer service is paramount as satisfied clients are likely to promote your work through word-of-mouth.
For aspiring creatives, my advice is to keep pushing forward and never give up. Remember, others are observing your journey and progress, so continue to strive for excellence in everything you do.
