Meet Black Market

We recently connected with Black Market and have shared our conversation below.

Black , thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?

We need to stay in touch with the original feeling of making music we had when we were young and first started.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

We are a heavy music group based in Los Angeles. We create original music and perform and record regularly in the Los Angeles area and abroad. The most exciting thing about being a group is seeing our work come together and be able to perform it live for others. We love seeing other people’s reactions to our music and creating new sounds. We have a new single set to release soon entitled Les. This song is part of our new album, which we will have available on all platforms in the coming months.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Everyone is committed to their individual practice. Our individual discipline enhances the group. We communicate well and always push for excellence. Some advice we have for folks is to have a solid financial plan going in and also not give up on your vision.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

Developing a solid following outside of our local seen has had its difficulties. We have a strong local core audience, but we hope to expand and share our music with bigger audiences online and in person. We are actively seeking support in this department.
