Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Blair Minor. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Blair , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I formed a genuine confidence very slowly over a long period of time. Confidence comes from taking a risk and having it pay off, surviving adversity and achieving small successes – all of which span long periods and cannot occur overnight. Concurrently, failures are occurring as well that shake any budding confidence. Hopefully, as a smart and persistent business owner, you gather knowledge that allows you to accumulate more and more successes and fewer failures and make more educated risks.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
As a long-time jewelry lover, I could never find a brand that sold me what I wanted at a price I could afford – so I went out and created it.
Minor Metal Jewelry is a line of waterproof, tarnish-proof jewelry that focuses on minimalist, classic designs featuring stunning natural stones. We specialize in heirloom-quality pieces at below industry prices due to our 15+ years worth of connections in the industry.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The best advice I could give to an entrepreneur early in their journey would be to immediately identify who your customer is, what they want, and how much they want to pay. Be willing to pivot aspects of the business to better fit that customer and their demands.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
We are always looking to collaborate with any women in our industry, donate to causes that benefit women and children, and create a larger community of women to support one another!
