Meet Blanche Garcia

We were lucky to catch up with Blanche Garcia recently and have shared our conversation below.

Blanche , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I followed the inner prompts, listened to the signs my life sent me, and paid attention to what lights me up. When I first started my journey, I was reacting to what life was showing me and making decisions based on pure instinct. I chose a direction that served the version of who I was at the time.

Once I truly got to know myself and learned how to quiet my mind, I realized there was more I wanted out of life—more layers to uncover. Then 2020 happened, and like so many others, it was a tipping point for me. What I like to call an awakening to my purpose.

That’s when Conscious Home was created. I saw how the ways I supported my mind, body, soul, and space could help others. They are all connected and can be tailored to support each person’s unique journey and the life they want to live.

But Conscious Home wouldn’t have been possible without the lessons I learned along the way. And it’s just the beginning. Since its formal launch, it’s already evolving and will keep evolving.

My purpose is to create, inspire, and connect. Everything I build is a product of that purpose. As long as I’m in the energy of my purpose, I’m in my highest vibration, and I’m my happiest.

People often think their purpose is a thing—but really, it’s about amplifying what lights you up. How you do it is up to you. The what is just a byproduct.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I feel incredibly fortunate to have always pursued work I’m passionate about and to have had the freedom to explore my interests wherever they’ve led me. I’ve been an interior designer for 29 years and am the owner and principal of B. Garcia Designs. I’ve had a dynamic career, designing hotels, restaurants, businesses, and high-end residential projects while also having the privilege of being the lead designer on Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible for five seasons, along with appearances on HGTV and many other platforms.

I believe that if you’re lucky, life gives you many dreams and many lifetimes within one—opportunities to rediscover your passions and pursue what lights your soul on fire. Many people stay in their comfort zones because it’s what they’ve always done or because they fear stepping into something new. I’ve always been the opposite. I thrive on new challenges, and I only do work that is meaningful, purposeful, and that I’m truly passionate about. That mindset led me to launch Conscious Home, a brand that has been years in the making.

The seed for Conscious Home was planted 16 years ago when I attended my first retreat and started questioning how I could combine my career in interior design with my love for purpose-driven living and self-connection. A few years later, I self-published a book, Empowered Design: A Design Plan for Living, which was ahead of its time but laid the foundation for the work I do today. At the time, the world wasn’t quite ready to understand the deep connection between design, personal energy, and manifesting the life you want—but that connection has always been integral to me.

Years later, while working with the Travel Channel, I was on a flight to Hawaii when I read an article about the Delos Corporation and the WELL designation. This framework considers not just the wellness of a building’s structure but also the well-being of the people experiencing it—including their mental and energetic states. It was a perspective the industry hadn’t fully embraced yet, and I knew immediately this was the future of design. I became a WELL AP-certified designer because I saw how crucial this approach would be, but I still felt like something was missing.

Then 2020 happened, and like many people, it was a tipping point for me—a spiritual awakening. I realized that the way I had been doing business needed to change. The world was shifting—mental health was at the forefront, people were spending more time at home, and the connection between space and well-being had never been more important. That’s when I knew I had to integrate everything I had learned into one cohesive approach.

I created Conscious Home as the answer to that shift. It’s an online space where you can take our frequency quiz and discover your archetype, designed to support not just who you are now but who you are meant to become. We pull from both research-backed and intuitive methodologies, integrating energetic work and Akashic Records—which I like to describe as your personal Google cloud that holds information on who you were before this life, who you are now, and who you are meant to be.

Through Conscious Home, we help people create a more balanced, supportive space and lifestyle. We offer practical recommendations using crystals, furniture choices, essential oils, mantras, scents, and sound to create alignment and harmony. We also host workshops, one-on-one mentoring sessions, and e-design services to help integrate these concepts into everyday life.

Beyond individual spaces, we also work with businesses and corporations through our Conscious Corporate service. I visit companies to help them infuse purpose-driven leadership, employee well-being, and intentional design into their workspaces.

I’m passionate about this work because it’s personal. As a neurodivergent mom, an empath, and an intuitive, I’ve had to figure out what keeps me balanced, energized, and aligned—from color and scent to sound, materials, and biophilia. All of these elements, along with meditation, mantras, and energy work, have been my lifeline, and I’m so lucky to be able to share that knowledge and support others in their journey.

We exist on many planes—our physical space is just one aspect of our experience. The wisdom found on a soul level can help shape our lives in powerful ways. My years of spiritual work have shown me that the Akashic Records are one of the most impactful tools for personal and professional growth.

Accessing this energy is like tapping into your past, present, and future all at once. It acts as a guide, helping you co-create your best life. This deeper form of connection is something we’re actively weaving into our business model through workshops, mentorship, and even product development.

We’ve expanded Conscious Home to offer Conscious Corporate workshops that help companies bring these principles into their culture. And now, as part of our next phase of growth, we’re developing a product line aligned with our archetype system, offering curated furniture, wellness products, and tools for mindful, intentional living.

I’m beyond excited to see how this work continues to evolve, and I’m grateful to be able to help others design spaces—and lives—that truly support them.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Inner Knowing & Connecting to My Authentic Self – Get to know yourself before creating anything outwardly. If you don’t know who you are, you’re building based on other people’s expectations rather than your own truth. Do the inner work, shadow work, and self-reflection to uncover what truly drives and fulfills you. Be ruthless in your pursuit of self-awareness.

Faith, Belief & Optimism – Not necessarily religious faith, but trusting in a higher purpose and knowing you will be supported. Even if one dream doesn’t work out, a better one is coming. Staying hopeful and open to new opportunities has been a guiding light in my journey.

Creating with Impact – When you share the energy of what you create, it inspires others to do the same. Having a bigger purpose beyond yourself allows your work to reach and impact more people. One book that shaped my leadership and perspective on this was A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle, which helped me understand the power of creating with intention.

Advice for those starting out:

✔️ Start with yourself. Get clear on who you are, what you want, and what fulfills you—even if it means doing uncomfortable self-reflection.

✔️ Your purpose should be bigger than just you. What you create should extend beyond yourself and positively impact others.

✔️ There are no wrong decisions—as long as a path feels right to you, it’s worth exploring.

✔️ When in doubt, this too shall pass—tomorrow brings new opportunities, and you always have the power to change direction.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?

I believe in speaking things into existence—our words are lyrical manifestations that shape our reality.
