Meet Boris Amado

We were lucky to catch up with Boris Amado recently and have shared our conversation below.

Boris, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

My purpose in life is to be a storyteller. I entertain people with my written stories. Even as a child I loved telling stories, but I never envisioned myself as an author of books. I mean, I never did well in school, and my penmanship is like that of a fourth grader.

But once I began writing, I knew this was my purpose. I went to college to learn how to direct motion pictures, and I never saw myself as the screenwriter, but here we are.

Once you know what your purpose in life is, everything else becomes irrelevant. It’s the only thing you want to do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My recent publishing was a religious book based on the life of the biblical character named “Lazarus”.
It’s a book about the missing childhood and teenage years of our good Lord Jesus

At the present moment I’m currently working on my fairytale book called “Amado Fairytales” and I have a few other film and television projects in development.

Also be on the lookout for my comic book called “Spray Saints” which will be published by Sumerian comics.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The best advice I give people is to invest in yourself, and believe in yourself, and overpower those negative intrusive thoughts that tell you that “you can’t”

… Because I’m here to tell you that, yes, you can. Anything is possible in this life.

Our minds are extremely powerful.
The same energy that powers the sun and the stars in the sky, also power our thoughts and our words.

Positive thinking is the key to success.
Always thank God and remain in a constant of gratitude.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?

The Bible has played the most important role in my life and in my life as a creator.

As a child, I was forced to read the Bible. And I used to cry when reading it because I was so mad…
…but now it’s how I make my living.

I take biblical stories and I Modernize them (just don’t tell anyone my secret)
