Brady, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
I believe my resilience comes from being in love with the process of things, loving the “grind” so to speak. Once I started to understand that the things that are difficult or feel like set backs, are actually just things preparing you for what you need to be ready for, it became easier to stay resilient.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I cut hair full time behind the chair at SIR Mens Salon in West Hollywood, and outside of that my other passion is traveling to teach other barber and hair stylists hair cutting and styling. My favorite thing about what i do is being able to help nurture and grow confidence in anyone who sits in my chair.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The biggest thing for me in the beginning of my journey, and that i still try to maintain is being self aware, aware of what i have accomplished so far, and what i want to accomplish next. I try to work backwards, i try to use what a “normal” end goal would be as the first goal on my list. If my goals dont continue to grow and get bigger i feel as if i become complacent
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for models for hair content. Photoshoots, lookbooks, videos etc. I am always looking for more people who would be open to allowing me to get creative on their hair.
