Meet Brandi Washington

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brandi Washington. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Brandi , thrilled to have you on the platform as I think our readers can really benefit from your insights and experiences. In particular, we’d love to hear about how you think about burnout, avoiding or overcoming burnout, etc.

Work life balance is one of the biggest ways that I have been able to avoid burnout. Working full time and being a content creator is a lot of work. There are many days that I am attending an event right after getting off work. Sometimes I don’t even have a chance to change out of my work clothes. I have to remember that I can’t do everything. I have to make sure I have time in between to rest after a hard day and really pick and choose the things I do in my spare time.

Self-care. I always make sure to prioritize my self-care. That’s my way of taking care of me so that comes in the form of going to get my nails done or going to have a relaxing massage. It could be me taking the time to just sit and read the book, and pour into myself.

Have a good support system. Having a good group of friends and family to be able to talk or vent about your ups and your downs is one of the greatest things you could have to overcome burnout. Friends and family will keep you balanced. They’re always gonna be there for you. Good or bad they’re always going to tell you the truth.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I decided to become a content creator because I wanted a creative outlet. My page started out as me being a foodie and loving fashion. I have a degree in fashion, designer merchandising, and has always been a creative person. In the beginning, I love to get dress up and go out to eat and later in the day with the photo shoot at my office.

I moved away from the photo shoot, but would love to incorporate it back in somehow. I am excited about the opportunities that have come from being a content creator. I’ve always enjoyed all the endless events, shows, restaurants, etc. that the city has to offer.

I look forward to adding more lifestyle and travel to my page so that I can show off more of my personality. I’ also excited about expanding my geographical adventures to other places and not just Atlanta/Georgia.

I have an idea that I’ve been thinking about for about a year now. Still working some things out but looking forward to seeing this vision come to light.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I will say, patience, consistency, and trial & error. You have to have the patience to see your vision come to light. We always want things to happen quick and fast but life isn’t that way. The things that are meant for you will come to you not in your time, but when they are supposed to. Consistency is key. You have to keep going and keep posting. Even if you think the video isn’t good, just post it you’ll be so surprised that might be the video that goes viral for you. Trial and error, it takes time to get your vision the way you want it. Don’t try to be like anybody else just be uniquely you. There’s somebody out there that would like your content and that’s your audience.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am always looking for partnerships and collaborations. That’s what helps my page grow, and for me to be able to share with my audience. So if you’re a chef or a restaurant, a hotel, or in the travel industry and even self-care services, I would love to work with you. There are so many PR firms and I would love to be able to be put on your list to discover all the noise. Any things are happening around the city so that I can then share it with my followers.

My page is about food, lifestyle, experiences, and travel. These are things that most people enjoy and want to know about. Partnering with a con tent. Creator is one of the best ways to get your marketing tool wide range of people. So let’s collaborate! I can be reached through Instagram @ the_hungry_fashionista_atl TikTok @thehungryfashionistaatl or via my email found on both of these pages. Can’t wait to work with you!
