Meet Brandon Keeble

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Brandon Keeble. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Brandon, thank you so much for making time for us today. Let’s jump right into a question so many in our community are looking for answers to – how to overcome creativity blocks, writer’s block, etc. We’d love to hear your thoughts or any advice you might have.
Making time is very important. My work hours prevent me from being able to sit in one place for my art. This is why taking my IPad with me to work and other places increased my creative flow. Encouragement from my family and friends, along with finding time in my day to create has been a game changer for me. It has allowed me to focus on my art in a new way.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m very excited about the print and sticker sets that I will be coming out with soon. I want everybody to have a little piece of my art. I am also working on a new series called: Reflected. It will be a collection that takes the viewer back in time. I am still doing custom pieces for clients as well.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I believe for me, always being open to learn, my drive to keep going , and my undying need to create . Always create. I see these as skills as well as qualities because each of them came in the form of a lesson. When I say keep learning understanding that no one is perfect. No one can say I have learned it all, So you have to keep learning, it holds so much power. Drive is a big thing as well. I would dream of a moment like this happening, where I am asked questions about my art. That people would read about it and gain inspiration or even buy my work. That dream alone is what has driven me to keep going. Keep creating. Because I could be impacting someone in the process. My advice is to just create anything that feels good or right to you. Be your authentic self.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
Black privilege by Charlemagne The God, This was a great book about how you spend your time, picking and choosing who you aline yourself with. Learning not to be afraid to step out on faith. If you know what you have, allow it to take you somewhere, and don’t give up. That memoir motivated me and I understand that if you really want it, you will put in the work for it to attain your goals.
